[WP8] Bring Spotify Free to Windows Phone

Hello everyone,

 

As of yesterday, Windows Phone owners can enjoy access to millions of songs across their smartphones for free. Listen to all your playlists, discover new music, or simply sit back and dig into your favourite artist’s entire back catalogue.

 

We’re also introducing a series of additional improvements throughout the app. Search results look better than ever before, and we’ve made it easier to browse the artists you love and discover related artists you might grow to love.

 

Spotify is available to Windows Phone 8 and 8.1 users right now, and can be downloaded in the Windows Phone Store.  Also, you can find more information on our blog.

Vote yes for me! I am a big spotify user, but unfortunately I have been rather limited on my WP.

I don't think Spotify won't set the "freemium thing" for Windows Phone, WP8 is clearly the third biggest OS and may be the second, because people from iOS are switching to Lumia, we can see it on stats, in France 12,5% of smartphones are Windows Phone 8 devices and "only" 16 % for iOS.

 

But if this can help, I voted anyway. (improve your WP8 app please, Spotify)

Just recently i thought about upgrading my free 30-days-membership to a regularly paid one, but this unequal treatment of WP users could seriously make me reconsider. WP8 user and definitely staying there.

i think spotify needs to treat their users equally without prejudice..dont treat ios/android as first class citizens and we ,  WP7 users,  as third rate ones!!

The Spotify app needs a big update. It is still buggy to times. I had problems several times by adding music to a playlist on Spotify for Windows Phone 8. Also, where is the option to add local files into the playlist ? Come on Spotify. I am a paying customer and I really expect these futures on WP8 as on different platforms. Sending a song to another persons Spotify account should already have been implemented in the app.Spotify free is out for iOS and Android and therefore it should also be available for WP8 since it is the third largest mobile operative system. Come on. Fix the app and make Spotify free too

Spotify support on WIndows platforms is pathetic, no native Modern UI on WIndows 8, the desktop app works very badly on touch screens, no updates for the 'phone app, no Shuffle for the 'phone.  You'd think they'd make more effort to support the world's most used OS, I suspect that being a media company they're all arty Apple users who never give WIndows much consideration because they don't use it.  Well maybe some of the more business-focussed folks at Spotify ought to wake up and do a bit of kicking because it's a competitive world out there and Windows 'phone is on the up while iOS is on the slide.
