It's so hilarious that they want people to pay for lyrics that they probably get for basically free or stole.... and they don't even have the lyrics for SO many songs. They're just testing to see just how much they can nickle and dime people both with money and silly features. Remember, their goal is to get you to pay as much money as possible for as little from them as possible. It isn't and never will be about a good user experience, even for paying customers.

I don't even deal with this but it infuriates me! What do you mean that you put the lyrics that OTHER PEOPLE PUT UP FOR YOU behind a PAYWALL?!

This is what separates a paid account from a free account.

Also, if you can't afford $9 a month for music streaming then take a deeper look at your budget.

This isn't an accessibility concern since lyrics can be accessed alternatively outside of the app, besides the app isn't in and of its self the most accessible design so people with major accessibility needs arent going to want their lyrics in a tiny sidebar theyll want to view them full screen.

Spotify Premium is worth it, it's not expensive and the only thing its missing is time awareness. (My sleep playlists are tainting my daytime recommendations -_-)

@Straps the reading comprehension with this post continues to be terrible, i see. the topic is closed, they put the lyrics back, end of story. anyone giving spotify money every month is a fool, when the service is mediocre at best. the reason lyrics ARE an accessibility concern has been discussed here at length.

@Straps you need to relax, friend. if you want to pay spotify for things that you can find in separate pieces elsewhere, be my guest. but when they do things like take away a service that costs them pennies or nothing to provide, slam free users with more ads than music, and force people to use different devices just to do things like rearrange a playlist, they're not exactly a prime candidate for "i appreciate you, take my money". the only reason i haven't left spotify is that i already had to move from 8tracks (RIP) and lost the contents of my personal offline music collection to the whims of a hard drive; i have no energy to move yet again. plus a lot of people still share playlists on spotify, so there's no sense in making them go somewhere else just to access my mixes. i was not rude to you, but you were quite rude to me. 🙃
