@gordonzed91 the issue has been resolved, but the limit was lyrics for five songs a month while it was still in effect. when it first came to my attention, it was may 3rd, i hadn't listened in several days, and the first song i looked it informed me i was at the limit for the month already.

@Sandy232 people who are deaf/HOH rely on lyrics to fully appreciate music, and even people who have full hearing just can't tell what's being said sometimes, whether it's the fault of the song itself, ADHD, sensory processing disorder, a noisy environment, or any number of other things. "excuse me while i touch this guy" and all that.

It's ridiculous that if we don't have premium, we have a monthly limit to view song lyrics on the app and also we are not allowed even to look at the lyrics if we have Spotify free. Like seriously.

ThineCyberCat

@luciana13 it's been resolved

How many times a month is it even? Haven't been able to find anything on it and it's weird that Spotify doesn't specify

Cortnieb

Right! How stupid to charge for something a few clicks out of the program would give for free. Isn’t the point of Spotify offering more options to keep us on the platform for as long as possible?!

@Cortnubs,

No. They don’t want you there as long as possible. They want you to pay for a sub.

Fun fact: Spotify is up 14% yoy in the first quarter in 2024, and they’re expected to be up 19% on the year. More customers are subscribing, users understand price increases, user retention is high, and their dedication to alternative content such as podcasts and audiobooks is paying off.

Carry on with the trivial complaints, I’d say!

If you are not the customer, you must be the product.
