Spotify should, as a matter of good practice and safety, implement 2-step authentication.

Previously, Spotify enabled the option to log out other sessions other than the current session.

This would prevent hackers from stealing accounts, which would additionaly lead to less account hacks and less work for Spotify employees to assist in these cases.

This feature is very important to me.  Recently my password was compromised and someone got into my account and started messing with my library.  My library is really important to me and I would be devastated if someone deleted my playlists.  I found out quickly enough but if I hadn't, it could have been bad.

Is there anywhere we can post this to make it more visible? Spotify support
on Twitter give me a standard reply "we will consider your suggestion".

This is just not good enough.

@msephton I've also contacted twitter support multiple times and received the same generic response. Their disregard for customer security is disgusting and completely unacceptable.

A friend of mine just started working at Spotify in Stockholm and he says that this is considered very low priority because "not enough users want it". 

Spotify should introduce it regardless of how many users want it, simply because in this day and age it's the right thing to do.

I think everyone on this thread needs to raise their concerns on the Spotify twitter account which is publicly visible...no company likes negative feedback on their twitter account..hopefully they'll finally start to take note....

This is definitely a must, I had just been able to recover my account with the help of tech support but it wouldn't have been completely necessary if two-factor authentication had been put in place to begin with.

Cannot support this idea any more than I already do. Hope this feature comes swiftly!

I also hade to get help from tech support to recover my account. 

It's actualy embarrassing that they still doesn't support this. Feels like all other major onlince services added 2-factor authentication long ago. This is not something that should be requested from users, it should have been handled by there security staff long ago.

I have started a petition on Change.org in order to build up support and give us some power to argue our case with Spotify. Please sign the petiton and share it with everyone you know so that we can show Spotify that users do want this feature!
