Ability to Change the Playlist Folder Image

Hello, I recently found out about playlist folders again on Spotify! It's such a great feature to organize my 50+ playlists that have either been made myself, made by others, or made by Spotify. Another great feature is changing the playlist picture on desktop!

It gives me the creative freedom to spruce up my playlists in the best way; however, it is an eyesore on mobile. 

I believe that Spotify should implement a feature to let users modify folder pictures on desktop (Hopefully they will implement changing either on mobile...) along with playlist pictures. Yes, this idea has been submitted many times, but I hope that this time it can have enough kudos! Thank you for reading!

Please add the ability to add images to playlist folders.

Playlist folders are great to keep everything nice and tidy, but users lose the ability to see actual images in the library when they use folders. So when users spend a lot of time to sort and organize their playlists in neat folders, the library becomes an eyesore.

Unfortunately, I cannot add screenshots, despite being logged in, but there are several good examples already available.

I just though I would come here and suggest this idea because I'm not the type of person who will go through folder and folder just to find the paylist that I want to listen to but instead I just look at the covers of playlists or folders. However on Spotify this feature is not currently available and I feel as if myself and many other Spotify users would benefit from features like this as it means our music library is more personalised and accustomed to our taste of how we like which would only enhance the experience of Spotify users like myself. Folders are currently a default image which can make someone's library who uses a lot of folders like myself seem extremely cluttered which can just make us feel like there's no point scrolling through all the folders just to find one playlist. Overall this would not only make the Spotify platform feel much more personalised but also allow users to quickly identify folders and playlists at a simple glance making it much less time consuming and difficult for readers. This will also allow users to have more creative freedom just like they would on playlists whilst also allowing them to feel more organised and make their library look much more visually coherent. I think this small change would make a big difference and impact on the Spotify community as it would make the platform feel much more fun when listening to music and make people who enjoy organization and structure like me feel much more at ease (especially when I'm in the middle of making my prom playlists and getting confused with which folder I'm putting them in and then getting all confused about where my playlist is). Thanks for considering the idea and all you do to keep improving the platform to make it better for users like myself!

Hello spotify team!

Myself and a lot of my friends find that the current folders in which you can sort playlists are all grey, making them indistinguishable from one another. Only the name is customizable. I wish I could visually distinguish the folders from one another.

For example, with different colors or, even better, with images that I can upload, just like with playlists.

Users should be able to upload a custom image for playlist folders, similar to how custom covers are possible for individual playlists.
This feature would help personalize the look of folders and make it easier to visually identify them, especially when organizing playlists by mood, theme, or genre.

Hi spotify team, it's been about 5 years since your last status update on this topic. Back then you said "Not right now" but I wanted to ask, are you ever planning on doing it?
I thought maybe it would help if i came here and shared my perspective. Personally I have a lot of playlists and being able to sort them into different folders has made my life easier. However, it bothers me that everytime that I listen to a playlist included on a folder, it later appears on the dashboard as a grey icon. I love customizing my playlists, adding different photos that fit the vibe and making it pretty overall, but it's annoying to see the pretty playlists next to the bland grey folder covers.
I truly hope you can see this comment and all of the others on this post and take them into consideration. Thanks.
