Ability to Change the Playlist Folder Image

Hello, I recently found out about playlist folders again on Spotify! It's such a great feature to organize my 50+ playlists that have either been made myself, made by others, or made by Spotify. Another great feature is changing the playlist picture on desktop!

It gives me the creative freedom to spruce up my playlists in the best way; however, it is an eyesore on mobile. 

I believe that Spotify should implement a feature to let users modify folder pictures on desktop (Hopefully they will implement changing either on mobile...) along with playlist pictures. Yes, this idea has been submitted many times, but I hope that this time it can have enough kudos! Thank you for reading!

I'm suggesting an update on cover features.

My suggestion is allowing to put covers on folders. As a person with 3 folders, I think this would help making my Spotify more organised and also easier to understand what folder serves what purpose. Like for example, on my sports folder (i have my gym and running playlist inside), i'd put a pic about sports or anything i design on canva.

I think it's quite realistic and a good feature i'm looking forward to have available sometime in the app. It'll help way more organising users home page.

I think it's kind of ridiculous that Spotify still hasn't added this very simple and highly requested feature. The community has been asking since 2019 and yall have the audacity to put the status of the idea to "not right now." There is no way its that difficult to add the ability to put pictures on folders, literally just copy paste the same feature as playlist pictures. The default cover for folders is ugly and bland, adding this small little feature would add so much more customization and make plenty of people happy.

Please allow us to edit our folders in the app and add cover photos for them! It’s difficult trying to find a specific folder and it would be easier if I could just look for a picture instead of reading each name! Please consider ❤️

Hello,

I love organization, let alone my organization of my "tunes". I would love an option to be able to add/or create a photo for my files. It would be great to be able to use that to find my desired playlist. Currently, I have to hover my mouse over the many grey-generic folder icons until I found the one I was in search of.

Having the Folders feature is great, but it isn't being used because it's not promoted or customizable like playlists are. I want to use it but it ruins the entire vibe of my Spotify account. Either update it like other features in the app or get rid of it. I think if you could customize the cover, and share entire folders rather than a playlist at a time it would be a game changer.

Spotify already allows users to create playlist folders on desktop, which is great for organization. However, folders currently can’t have custom images and aren’t fully supported on mobile.

Adding the ability to set custom images or covers for playlist folders, and making folders properly available on both desktop and mobile, would greatly improve library navigation. It would make organizing playlists faster, more visual, and more personal especially for users with large libraries.

Even simple options like a single image, a color, or an autogenerated cover would be a great quality-of-life upgrade

This would be a small but meaningful improvement that fits perfectly with Spotify’s focus on personalization.
