Add all of an Artist's Songs

There should be a button to add all of the songs an artist has released into a playlist. This would take so much less time than trying to add album by album by EP by single.

Other streaming services have this feature perfected, Spotify would have ZERO competition if they finally jumped on board! "Add artist to playlist" is the one major feature I used the most on Slacker. Having to go from album to album, song to song is tedious not to mention ridiculous. What if I wanted to make a Michael Jackson/Jackson 5 playlist? We're talking 40 years worth of music, with this feature I could have that with a tap of a button! As we currently stand though, that would take hours going through song by song...

I built a free app to solve this:  playlisttools.com

 

You can quickly add all of an artists tracks to a new or existing playlist, filter out certain types of albums, or add an artist's top tracks.

The ability to create a playlist featuring selected artists should be table stakes.  This is the one feature missing from Spotify that has me considering going back to Pandora.

I couldn't agree more and I would like to see a Moderator or Developer or somebody from Spotify respond to this thread and give us a time in which this can be expected to be implemented! Luckily, for now, playlisttools.com does this.

I took a different approach than the playlisttools.com app (which is great!) If you're interested in just generating a playlist from the 10 most popular songs (according to Spotify) of a selection of your Followed Artists, you can use https://followersplaylist.com, no cost or anything. Helped me create a hefty playlist of all the Artists I Follow.

Hello, Spotify Team! I'm a user for a while now, and I love the app, can't live without it. I would like to suggest a feature that I think might be huge, at least for me. Lately, I've been trying to create some different kind of playlists that didn't contain only songs but albums or artists. I wish I could create a playlist with my favorite albums and list them so that I can click and be redirected to the album page. The same thing with artists. I don't think it's a difficult feature to launch, plus this might become a great tool to spread more recommended music and artists to users, for example: "Fresh New R&B Artists" or "New Album Releases" etc. Thank you!
