[Alexa] Multiple Spotify Accounts for Amazon Echo

My wife and I have our own Spotify accounts. On Amazon Echo, you can create your own profile.  It would be great to link your own Spotify account to your own Amazon Echo account.

Thanks!

@Fatwhitey the title of this thread is "[Amazon Echo] Multiple Spotify Accounts for Amazon Echo" - what has it got to do with Google Home?????????

Jonfitt
@SnazzyBootMan it’s also about Spotify so Amazon Music is also off topic. It’s not a solution to use another music service.
Fatwhitey
Snazzy, I want a music service for all my devices. If i only needed music
on my amazon devices I'd subscribe to amazon music as you suggested. That
is the underlying point of this thread...
SnazzyBootMan

@Fatwhitey - then stick with Spotify it is a wonderful service.

Can't believe it's been over a year and nothing done about this. Seems crazy that we can have a spotify family account and yet when i'm commuting and my family want to listed to something on the home Echo, my music cuts out (or vice versa). This is the whole point of having a family Spotify account isn't it?!?

Awaiting an update from Amazon and Spotify please! 🙂

Can't believe this hasn't been fixed.  What's the latest news or should I also just look to move to Amazon family plan?

Andrewwarriner

Sorry but not waiting any more ... I've cancelled my Spotify Family account and signed up for an Amazon Family account which works in this scenario.  Shame but done now.  Good luck to those who wait for any news or a fix.

Any update on this? We are also finding it very frustrating.

Can you imagine the furstration in a 5 person houshold about the missing Spotify family account support on Alexa. Has anyone figured out a working FREE solution to move Spotify playlists including Songs to Amazon Unlimited? I have just signed up for a free test at Amazon Unlimited and given the Spotify restriction on Alexa the only reason to wait with the switch to Amazon is the extensive playlist of 5 Family members which need to be transferred. Further, Amazon also offers to upload your owned mp3 (yearly fee) so that you can access them within Amazon Music player; regardless of your geo-location.... Did anyone try this?

Andrewwarriner

@Sinan_o2oI'm the same; 5 in the house and reluctantly just moved to Amazon family music to solve this issue.  I bought "Stamp" for £10 to do the playlist transfer which seemed to work well although it takes time and a bit of a phaff to do it for 5 people as despite what they say, it's licensed per device and doesn't work with apple family sharing so I had to run it 5 times logging in and out of each spotify and amazon account to do the playlist transfers.  Got there in the end and pretty straightforward. Did the job for me.  Wish spotify would just fixed the issue though, I can imagine them losing a lot of customers over this given the success of echo over the holiday perdiod!!
