[All Platforms] Blocking podcasts shows

I have an unwanted podcast on my Spotify account.

I don't follow the podcast.

I didn't add the podcast.

I have no idea how it got there.

I'm not even interested in the content.

It tries to auto play this podcast occasionally when I'm caught up on my other podcasts.

I want it gone.

How can I do this?

If I can't do it myself, can I please get a support tech to delete it because it is a source of constant frustration and makes me just want to close the app and not use it.

Someone I’ve gone no contact with IRL helps host a podcast. I’ve also blocked the creators and anyone associated with it on my other social media pages. But it keeps showing up in my feed, and I don’t want to harm the creators by rating it one star — I just want it gone and to quit being reminded of this person and their community.

My other concern is for parents who have no control over what their kids are listening to. There’s plenty of 18+ podcasts and there’s no sort of age restriction for them besides “explicit” but not all of them have that rating.

My friends and I keep getting Joe Rogan autoplaying in the middle of other (and very different) podcasts. I do not want Joe Rogan autoplaying for me, ever, in any circumstance. Why can't we block podcasts? Why does his anti-science nonsense get priority over literally every other podcast? Support hasn't responded to me at all and it makes me wonder why that option even exists. It is so frustrating.

I listen to podcast, and when i dont want to listen to them anymore. I unfollow. But they are still there. Same with list u played. Just let us delete or remove them. Same as a song on a list.

My school aged kids have discovered the most annoying Podcast where the dude reading kids stories has the most annoying voice I have ever heard.

I cannot block the Podcast or Artist.

Please for the love of my sanity, allow me to block certain podcasts.

Before you say "Get an account just for the kids" stop. When driving I'm not going to pull over, logout, log in as kids and then sort things out. If you can't understand why this is unreasonable, you don't have kids.

This needs to be implemented ASAP. I’ve never chosen to listen to an episode of Financial Audit and I consider it an exploitative pile of detritus and I never want it to be auto played or suggested ever again. It’s bad enough that podcasts now play extra adverts even for your paying customers, you’re really now trying to push people off your platform!

 Thanks

Solution is quite obvious - STOP using Spotify. I'm not using it already 1.5 years.

There’s no way someone hasn’t suggested this before. I’m fine with podcasts I follow autoplaying, but I’ve decided I don’t like a particular podcast even after I’ve listened to it a couple times, I need a way to stop it from popping up in my queue again. No matter how much it’s suggested, I’m never going to like it and I’d rather not hear anything from it ever again. Please listen to the likely many people who have asked for this. Not having this feature is making me reconsider my premium subscription.

It took 2 support reps 2 hours to confirm what I'd already found online in 10 minutes. Developers need to prioritize this functionality for podcasts, as it is for music.

I'd like the ability to exclude a podcast from my algorithm or preferences without work arounds. I agree with another commenter that I don't want to downvote the podcast to make the content suffer simply because I don't want to see it in my feed.

Sidenote: Spotify could also invest in support resources so it's not a waste of customer and company time to weed through whatever documentation mess you have given them to work with.

I find it frustrating that this issue still hasn’t been resolved. It’s hard to understand why the developers haven’t implemented a simple fix. If I had access to the codebase, I’d handle it myself. Forcing unwanted content without an option to disable it isn’t acceptable. Sure, I can skip it manually, but that’s not always possible—like when my phone isn’t nearby or when I’m driving. I keep receiving sports podcasts daily, even though I’ve never chosen to listen to them.
