[All Platforms] Customize Start Screen

This is not a new idea, but I haven't found any practical reply to it, so I think it needs to be repeated. I completely agree with Rennestein (screen capture below), we need to stop seeing irrelevant suggestions because it is annoying. Why can't it be possible to decide what we first see when we open Spotify on any device? (playlists, recently played, artists we're following, etc), and enjoy better our Spotify experience?
Please Spotify, let us have the home screen as we'd like. :)) Thank you!

Yeah, I've just straight up left Spotify because of this. I'm sick and tired of getting offensive, sexually explicit podcasts thrown in my face every time I open the app. I've never even listened to a podcast so I have no idea why I'm seeing it, maybe because I played the latest Doja Cat album??

I've moved over to Apple Music, sure the playlists aren't anywhere near as good, but at least I don't get **bleep** shoved in my face all day.

Seriously Spotify, your product team should be ashamed of themselves that this is an issue.

Sick of having to look at a $-hit-eating grin from some dudes podcast I listened to about a year ago. Is it really that hard to change this?

I just signed up for Deezer. Not sure if it’s exactly what I want. Deezer uses a service to transfer all my playlists and favorites from Spotify. 

I’ve paid for Spotify for 9 years. 

but the disrespect that Spotify has for its paying customers is intolerable.

On the verge of cancelling for the same reason. Spotify continues to double down on an idea that I find alienating, and that only serves to annoy me every time I open the app. Why am I paying Spotify monthly to be annoyed?

Spotify - you do not have enough metadata about my podcast listening habits, because I'm not interested in and do not listen to podcasts. This makes all the recommendations in this prime real estate of the home page totally off base, or actually offensively bad.  Why on earth would I want to listen to the trash you are pushing, on a recreational platform, without even the option to downvote or remove it?

A couple more months while I try out different options, and then I'm going anywhere but here.

Please let me remove the podcasts I once listened to for three seconds. But also there are videopodcasts now. Which are just long YouTube Videos. Just not on YouTube. Spotify was a safe place. A safe place I could return to. I listen to music while working, while studying. Now it turns into a Dopaminetrap.

Hey there. I listened to this one podcast, one time. But its garbage. Now it shows up every time. I want to remove from the good morning tab. I want to be able to control this.

A note to the thread monitors: you are asking people to vote on a "customize start screen" thread, but that's not quite what's being asked for here. We don't have a problem with podcasts being promoted on the home screen. We would like to be able to suppress specific podcasts that we have no interest in, or are offended by, from being promoted in the future -- especially as the podcast section is labeled "episodes for you," as if this is curated to us specifically.

This is the same as how on social media, when you see an ad you don't like, you can give feedback and that platform will no longer show you that specific ad -- that's not a home screen change, that's ad preferences. It's also similar to how if I'm listening to a radio station on Spotify and a song is suggested that I don't like, I can give feedback to Spotify to not suggest that song in the future.

The complexity of the thread you are asking people to vote on (customized start screens) is much more difficult to solve than the feature being asked for (ad preferences for accounts that have not listened to any podcasts).

I don't know about everyone else, but I pay for premium to get NO ADS

(which means not getting disgusting music/any other content pushed on me every single time I open the app).
