[All Platforms] Customize Start Screen

This is not a new idea, but I haven't found any practical reply to it, so I think it needs to be repeated. I completely agree with Rennestein (screen capture below), we need to stop seeing irrelevant suggestions because it is annoying. Why can't it be possible to decide what we first see when we open Spotify on any device? (playlists, recently played, artists we're following, etc), and enjoy better our Spotify experience?
Please Spotify, let us have the home screen as we'd like. :)) Thank you!

Hey folks,

We appreciate you sharing your feedback on the Community and showing your support to this idea.

We're setting this idea to 'Not Right Now', as this isn't something we have any immediate plans to implement. If we do have any new info to share, rest assured we'll check back in here with a new status.

Update from the 23rd of Feb 2023:

A new feature was recently introduced in the mobile app which you may find interesting as it allows users to remove content recommendations from the subfeeds (Music and Podcasts & Shows) of their Home screen, thus expanding upon the current customization options and offering a improved, more personalized experience. You can find more info about it in the Status update here.

Thanks.

Let me choose what content is on my home page. There has been a random addition recently that is completely unrelated to any content ive ever interacted with, so let me press a button that says "do not suggest things like this". I hate podcasts and i hate childrens content. I want to be able to block it from my suggestions or have some level of control as to what is at the top of my home page. I want the agitating, grating, ugly, gorrific, out of season childrens podcasts off my home page. Its never going to be listened to by me and there is currently nothing i can do to get it out of my way so i get suggestions that are actually relevant ro me.

Give them 1 star reviews on the app store and google play. Mention this problem in the comments. They only care about the ratings, so let'**bleep** them where it hurts.

I guess this is part of the death cycle of an application.  Someone termed it Enjunkification.  Once, a platform has captured users with a good product, they begin to focus on corporate and financial interests.  Unfortunately, it just means that it's time for me to move on to some other platform that isn't using its PAYING USERS as a captive audience for financial incentives to push other people's work.  Youtube doesn't even pull that kind of **bleep** - you pay for premium and you don't get the ads.

You better work on this concern. It's been years that the consumers been raising this. This is not the service satisfaction we're looking for.

I'm all for customized home screens. Ive recently upgraded to duo and now I'm stuck with all my other halves podcast and music suggestions. I've unfollowed them and set them all to unplayed, cleared cache etc. and the app still thinks I want to listen to it. What happened to the days when you could click don't like this artist/podcast and not hear from it again.

No, we don't. Please stop implementing new feature and address your customer feedback.

"Not right Now"??? Thousands of users request this. How can you keep saying for years now that it's no priority.

This is a big middle finger from spotify to all their customers.

Why can't I remove this phat ass album cover from my home screen?

Why the **bleep**? Why the absolute and utter **bleep**?

just another example of Spotify not caring about its users at all.

two things that turn me off.  AI dj interrupts music too often with nonsense that adds no value to an audiophile.  the home page is cluttered with recommendations that don’t seem personalized and spotify should allow for modifying content blocks with fewer algorithmic recommendations and promotions.
