[All Platforms] Customize Start Screen

This is not a new idea, but I haven't found any practical reply to it, so I think it needs to be repeated. I completely agree with Rennestein (screen capture below), we need to stop seeing irrelevant suggestions because it is annoying. Why can't it be possible to decide what we first see when we open Spotify on any device? (playlists, recently played, artists we're following, etc), and enjoy better our Spotify experience?
Please Spotify, let us have the home screen as we'd like. :)) Thank you!

Hey folks,

We appreciate you sharing your feedback on the Community and showing your support to this idea.

We're setting this idea to 'Not Right Now', as this isn't something we have any immediate plans to implement. If we do have any new info to share, rest assured we'll check back in here with a new status.

Update from the 23rd of Feb 2023:

A new feature was recently introduced in the mobile app which you may find interesting as it allows users to remove content recommendations from the subfeeds (Music and Podcasts & Shows) of their Home screen, thus expanding upon the current customization options and offering a improved, more personalized experience. You can find more info about it in the Status update here.

Thanks.

So I was listening to some white noise music for concentration and now I’m getting shows you might like “Adolf Hitler: Rise and Downfall” by NOISER. This is absurd and it’s arrogant for Spotify to assume it’s “algorithm” knows best in coming up with suggestions and that user feedback is irrelevant… oh just keep listening to other stuff until it changes… it’s more likely that the algorithm is very limited, flawed even and it would cost a huge amount of money for Spotify to re-engineer.

Please listen to your customers and act.  If GenAI returned these responses, and someone flagged these as in appropriate, the human in the loop would fix it.

not right know with 14000 votes says I don’t care about my customers and it’s my app and I’ll do what I want.

My Question or Issue

Why am I showing Disney favourites on my home page, right at the top. I pay for family so that I don’t get **bleep** like this. There’s not even an option to get rid of it.

Its bad enough with your rubbish sponsored recommendations, that I never follow, but seriously Disney!

I pay for premium, I shouldn’t get adverts!

First of all, how could you raise your prices during this economy? Secondly, if we are going to have to pay more money, please stop destroying the app. The Home Screen is now difficult to navigate and useless. The “TikTok” style clips for music are not good. There is way too much going on.

My Question or Issue

Hi I am becoming more and more frustrated by my Spotify home page specifically while on Apple carplay. While trying to get to My daily mixses, Song Recommended, Ect. I have to scroll past 11 Recommended Podcast. I have never listened to a podcast nor do I want to. I want it to be removed or at least pushed all the way to the bottom of the home page. Trying to drive and look for my daily mixses or quick playlist options is becoming increasingly dangerous. And not to mention it’s embarrassing when I have podcast recommendations for things like “Call Her daddy” and other things that I would never even want to watch/Listen. Please how do I remove these recommendations option or adjust my preferences for my music to be back at the top.

I follow many artists on Spotify and would love to see their new releases (Single/Album/Feature) pop up on my home feed under a "Your Following" or "Followed Artists" tab instead of the same old Spotify created Daily Mixes playlists.

The "following" feature just seems very useless because I have no found any change before and after following an artist, all it does is give email notifications. I do not see any updates within my home feed at all.

Currently the first three rows on my homepage are podcasts and audiobooks. I have never listened to, nor am interested in, either. What is the point of pushing them at me?

Similarly, why not improve music recommendations by letting us do the hard work for you. We can filter out genres and artists we don't like much more easily than you can and it will make your AI algorithms work better for everyone else.

Adjust, disable and resort the start page. For example: disable podcasts and put your daily listening list about your weekly and so on.

I love that the home dashboard has "made for you", "uniquely yours" "recently played" etc, but I wish there were an option to order or toggle on/off these items.

I don't need multiple audiobook suggestions when I don't use Spotify for audiobooks and podcasts as much as I do for music and I'd like to see my playlists at the top of the home screen rather than at the bottom.

Please implement this feature.
For example, I just wanted to listen to an erotic audio story for adults in podcast form. I only listened for a few seconds and now the picture appears in large print in the "listen to your old favourites" section.
I didn't even add it to my favourites or my library! Besides, I don't really want my wife or children to find out about it, especially as I use carplay in my car, which scares me even more...

That I'm getting content in languages I'm not interested in and I can't even block or filter it out is trash; I'm paying for this service and I have zero interest in **bleep** like Joe Rogan yet I get it on my home screen despite only listening to french or Swedish content
