This is not a new idea, but I haven't found any practical reply to it, so I think it needs to be repeated. I completely agree with Rennestein (screen capture below), we need to stop seeing irrelevant suggestions because it is annoying. Why can't it be possible to decide what we first see when we open Spotify on any device? (playlists, recently played, artists we're following, etc), and enjoy better our Spotify experience?
Please Spotify, let us have the home screen as we'd like. :)) Thank you!

To not be able to remove a suggested artist or whomever is just pathetic.

Why would you irritate the people paying for your service?

That's just bad business.  And I don't think I've ever selected an artist off of that suggestion anyway - if I have, it hasn't been often.

This just guarantees that I will ignore everything that pops up there from now on.

For example, I would love to be able to pin my DJ X and Discover Weekly to always appear as the first options in the list, regardless of what I have listened to lately.

Customize our own home screen view which ultimately will allow us to have the ability to TURN OFF the recommended music/podcasts. Allow the 6 podcasts that I listen to to stay on the main page, etc. It is quite annoying when I go to click on a podcast and the page updates and then it's not on the main page anymore and I have to search for it. Or I can't find the song I was recently playing because it doesn't show on my most recently played songs, etc. The constant change is frustrating and the ability to personalize it would go a long way.

On my search page I always see the same artist featured beside the icon for MUSIC. This is an artist I actively avoid and an artist I have blocked on my personal Spotify. So why does she pop up as a recommended artist for me?

I understand creating thousands of these icons would be time consuming and expensive. But I don’t see why we can’t choose between 3/4 of our top played artists and customize those buttons for ourselves. Spotify is so user specific so to always be recommended music by an artist I actively avoid is annoying.

I don't care about some crappy pop artist's new single. 

I can't stand that everytime I go to select an artist, their tile moves or disappears just as I'm about to touch the screen.

I don't need to see a greatest hits playlist of every artist I've searched for.  Maybe I like listening to the entire discography.

Call it Spotify for Seniors I don't care, I'm not a senior, but I want my selections organizable the way I want them organized, you know like a regular album or CD collection used to be.

And I don't want them constantly moving around and disappearing.

If I'm sposed to go to my library for this, then open the app to my Library - not this stupid home page full of junk I don't want or need to deal with.

I opened the app and when I went to the search icon there were two explicit videos of pretty much naked women dancing under “ Discover Something New”.

i don’t know how to report these and get them out of my feed because I don’t like seeing that.

You should be able to customise what’s on the home menu. For example it’s not useful to have the Create button there, but it would be more useful to have a shortcut to the Made for you section.

This. And the things that are showed there. I don't have any use for several of the lists and recommendations that show up in there, but I would love to have some other things more accessible.

There are playlists and podcasts showing up on the home screen that I'm not interested in, or that I’ve only checked out once. They keep appearing and take up valuable space. Sometimes it's content I truly don’t care about, and there’s no way to remove it.

It would be really helpful to have a "Dismiss from Home" option. Especially on the desktop app, which many of us use while working for that extra boost of creativity. Being able to curate the home view a bit more would make a big difference.

It would be great if we could right-click on a playlist or podcast on the home screen and have the option to “Dismiss” or “Not interested”. Alternatively, a three-dot menu could appear on hover over each card, offering possible actions like Dismiss, Pin to Top, etc.
