This is not a new idea, but I haven't found any practical reply to it, so I think it needs to be repeated. I completely agree with Rennestein (screen capture below), we need to stop seeing irrelevant suggestions because it is annoying. Why can't it be possible to decide what we first see when we open Spotify on any device? (playlists, recently played, artists we're following, etc), and enjoy better our Spotify experience?
Please Spotify, let us have the home screen as we'd like. :)) Thank you!

If I am paying for premium? Why does my homepage have this blatant advertisement? I do not listen to Ariana Grande at all. Include an option to remove it or remove it entirely.

Hi everyone.

As known, Spotify automatically shows some recommended shortcut buttons on the top portion of the home page, according to user activity. However, sometimes it also adds some shortcuts that I will never use, because I listened something else recently.

So I thought, it would be very useful for users to delete some of that recommended shortcuts; within the menu that shows up when a button long-pressed; to be replaced automatically by Spotify with another recommended shortcut later.

I am using Android and desktop versions of Spotify.

1. I’d love the option to manually remove specific playlists from my Home screen (recently played or top tiles). This would help clean up the dashboard and keep it relevant.

When I open my spotify is not aesthetic at all it often shows playlist that I listen to once or I just listened to one song of that playlist once and I just wish you could customize your start page so that you could decide for your own what I wanna show and what not sometimes I listen to music that I don’t want people or myself to see when I open my Spotify so I wish that we could pin our playlist and our favorite artist and maybe more features to customize our Spotify so when we open Spotify, that is the first thing that shows I hope y’all get what I’m trying to say have a nice day may god bless you all ! 🙏

Stop promiting self harm by showing users "sad" playlists.

I don't want to listen to sad music, I never listen to sad music, so please don't promote disgusting sad music to me like in this top row on my homepage:

The ui is getting worse and worse with time, and its not just Spotify, so why not lead the charge and allow us to customize it? Just add an option to the settings that allows us to choose which version of the ui to use, and the ability to move stuff around. It should affect ALL aspects of the ui, not just the general layout. Not only would this allow people to use the app better, but also help guard against mistakes that Spotify makes, like no longer being able to add songs to a playlist that already has them on mobile, for example.

I listened to a podcast once on Spotify and I didn't put it in my library or follow it I just listened to one episode. Now it's constantly showing up on my home screen and I'm not really interested in podcasts I was just listening to it for somebody else. It is quite annoying that there is no not interested or remove from home screen buttons. I understand if Spotify goes by what you're listening to and it's not meant to be customized or personalized or whatever but we should at least have the option sometimes to remove something that we no longer want to listen to. Especially if it's not even in our library. I tried to ask customer service if they can do it on their end and they said no and then I tried to write a review on Spotify and they told me to write on here so that's what I'm doing and I hope that the next update they change things.

Hi Spotify Team,
I love using the app, but I’d really appreciate having more control over my homepage and recommendations.
Sometimes I click on or play a playlist just once, and it keeps showing up in my "recently played" or suggestions, even if I didn’t like it or didn’t save it.
It would be very helpful to have an option to remove playlists from recently played or clear suggestions that I’m not interested in.
Please consider adding a feature that allows users to manually remove unwanted content from the homepage.
