[All Platforms] Light Mode option

Hi,

The new white text on black design physically hurts my eyes and gives very bad ghosting (i.e. persistent image like those in optical illusions that make you stare at particular color combinations and then look away). I know I'm not the only one with this issue because I've researched it in the past. Without an option to switch back to the old design (White background/black text), I'll need to delete my Spotify account and find another service. Please add an option to switch between the two (because I know many prefer black backgrounds). Myself and a host of others, however, cannot use these color combinations. Please let me know if there is a work-around; it would be much appreciated. It's basically unusable to me in it's current state.

Why is there no light theme yet? I have eye issues where a light theme makes me have to strain my vision much less. I know people have asked for it before. I'm on Spotify Premium.

All my apps have a light and dark mode to match my Windows theme. Spotify is the only one that does not. 

It would be a useful accessibility feature and make my eyes hurt a lot less to have a light theme. Is there any update on when we will get one?

No one wants the old design, we just want the design now but with a LIGHT MODE.

I've seen people make simple CSS sheets for the web version that make a perfectly usable light theme. Isn't Spotify an Electron app? Can't you guys just change the CSS?

This actually physically is hurting my eyes to use dark mode with my condition, and I'm not a free user, I use Premium. Literally take the theme that you have right now and invert the colors, it's that easy. Please. I love Spotify but you guys have an astounding amount of money and could easily afford to pay a dev or two to just invert some CSS color rules (or whatever it is).

I think you guys could introduce an optional light-mode for your mobile and desktop apps. I think it would look beautiful. Try it out, not a very "difficult" implementation but could add a very nice variety to the app that I'm sure some users would really appreciate.

Hi, I changed to Spotify from Apple Music and I'm confused that in Spotify is missing Light Mode. When I want to use it, I need to go to my iPhone settings and turn on smart invert. What if Spotify will have its own light mode?

Lack of the light theme is one of the top 2 reasons to use youtube instead of Spotify (regardless I'm paying family plan at Spotify)... Other reason to ditch Spotify was that while using it with Android auto my phone tends to overheat, which isn't the case with youtube...

11 years later, still no light mode and absolutely trash of a design. the most useless company ever

Do you not care about disabled people? There is simply no justifiable reason for your developers to continue to force dark mode on this app. We are the users. I need a white screen and black or dark text. Trying to navigate your app with black screen makes me physically ill from distortion. I will cancel my account. Visually impaired people matter. Our experience on this app matters, our access to music and everything spotify has to offer matters. This is not fair. Your are forcefully excluding people. Try and justify why Spotify won't fix this dark mode feature that the developers have made an active choice to forcefully apply to the app. Go on Spotify. What's your justification? It says a lot about Spotifiy's attitude to disabled people's experiences.

Please add light mode for macOS. I have difficulty reading light text on dark backgrounds.
