[All Platforms] Light Mode option

Hi,

The new white text on black design physically hurts my eyes and gives very bad ghosting (i.e. persistent image like those in optical illusions that make you stare at particular color combinations and then look away). I know I'm not the only one with this issue because I've researched it in the past. Without an option to switch back to the old design (White background/black text), I'll need to delete my Spotify account and find another service. Please add an option to switch between the two (because I know many prefer black backgrounds). Myself and a host of others, however, cannot use these color combinations. Please let me know if there is a work-around; it would be much appreciated. It's basically unusable to me in it's current state.

Light mode will change the background to white or another colour and have black font to contrast. This is especially good in dark places or for people with visual preferences or particular Neurodivergent accomodations so it may be easier to read and select options.

Regretfully Spotify doesn't care about us who are vision impaired.

Every year I check if Spotify's got a Light Mode, and every year I pay for a new yearly subscription to Deezer. Deezer is subpar to Spotify in pretty much every other way than allowing my eyes to actually use the app.

Most applications nowadays have dark and light mode. Spotify has yet to implement this feature.

In addition to implementing a light mode for the UI. There should also be an option for the application to change between dark and light mode based on the OS configurations.

I struggle to see the screen when apps are in dark mode. I LOVE Spotify and have used it for a while now, returning from Apple Music (hopefully for the last time!) I have to keep my devices in light mode to help my eyes. The only feature that I am missing is light mode. Would love to see a toggle switch in the settings to turn off the dark colors and have a white/light gray interface.

This is one of the easiest things to implement in the UI. It's been 11 years since the issue was raised, yet, the interface is still always dark

• Light mode is needed for eink devices. So easy to implement a toggle why not do it already? After 15 years from the issue being raised...

Design vanity gets in the way of understanding that light and dark theme is matter of accessibility. Dark themes are unusable in bright light environments. Please consider this feature!
