[All Platforms][Music] HiFi Quality - Lossless Streaming 16bit 44.1khz

I've just started a trial of Qobuz - they offer the standard 320kbps as well as lossless FLAC streaming (and high res downloads if you purchase them) the sound quality is noticeably better and on classical it's just wonderful to get all that resolution through your hi-fi or headphones! The catalogue has a way to go to get to Spotify's level, but they are getting there. The iPad app isn't' too bad (the desktop app is in need of an upgrade but I hear they are putting all their efforts into mobile apps right now).

So - lossless streaming - if Qobuz can do it then so can Spotify, they must have the same source - and obviously if you are asking £20 a month then those record labels and distributors take enough notice to make the high res tracks available for streaming. What this all means is soon, very soon, we will get lossless streaming and closely followed by high res downloads - but if Spotify aren't careful it will be Apple who get there first with an audiophile premium offering, and when they do it will be a much harder market place to make money in!

Hey folks,

We know that HiFi quality audio is important to you. We feel the same, and we’re excited to deliver a Spotify HiFi experience to Premium users in the future. But we don’t have timing details to share yet.

We will of course update you here when we can.

Take care.

This is insane now.

Spotify are a disgrace. I have put my cancellation in and got tidal Hifi.

it’s a shame because nothing else compares to Spotify for music curation, recommendations etc

But another recent price rise and still no lossless.

time to go! 👋

Please team Spotify introduce Lossless music and Hi Res quality music onto your platform or your competitors are gonna capture the market like Apple Music, to which i currently switched because of music Quality

Another well known, very popular provider offers a family subscription with high resolution audio for less than what your family subscription is. Isn't it about time you gave everyone what they wanted?! Fair enough if you remove audio books it brings the cost very close, but you don't offer high resolution audio and they do. It's been on the cards for years and still nothing. Please sort it out!

I'm new on this Spotify Community. Have been a Premium subscribers for about 3 months now. But something is bothering me a lot...  Spotify isn't HiRes...  I have a Bose sound system in my car and I like it a lot.  Except when I use Spotify... The quality is not nearly what it should be.  It's "acceptable", that's all, but that's not enough. I've tried about everyhing to improve it, but unfortunately, it's not good enough.  A friend connected his iPhone with Apple CarPlay in my car, and it blew my mind....  Isn't it about time Spotify offers a HiRes subscription...?   When I listen to Spotfy on my laptop, it's OK, but when I switch to Apple Music - with same volume level - that sounds so much better...  It's 2024... Come on Spotify....  Where's the HiRes..?

Time to move to a high resolution service

Here's a thought. Spotify is having issues with revenue. We want HiFi. Solution... charge an actual premium for it. Make it expensive so you can generate some profit. That's fine by me.
