[All Platforms] Offer Subscription Option for Those Not Going Online Every 30 Days

This issue has been already posted several times, but no solution up to now.

Some people have the problem of not having an Internet connection for months. Or at least, not good enough.

This can happen to military, fishermen or humanitarian aid workers. Spotify disables the downloaded music in case the App in the device does not go "online" at least once every 30 days, no matter if you pay the subscription or not.

Therefore, one can be paying the Premium subscription to Spotify, but not having the downloaded songs available due to a lack of Internet connection (it occurs even when there is Internet connection, but not "good enough" for Spotify).

So, my request to Spotify is to find a different way to have the downloaded songs available even if the App cannot go online.

Thank you.

I don't know if there is a solution to this but i will be without internet for about nine months here soon and a solution to this would be amazing. I've long since given up on the other music apps so Spotify is all i have. Music is my life and my playlists my life force, so if anyone knows of a solution, please share.

Dont know if this is an active request (or whatever ) since there is no way to speak to a person or get any kind of actual affirmative. But, i will be without internet for several months here soon and could benefit from knowing whether or not ill be able to listen to music when the time comes. Thanks to anyone who wishes to treat human beings like human beings, by offering a response.

Nope. To my knowledge they still value money more than their customers. Just spent 3 months out to sea with no music. Does wonders to moral...

My heart goes out to you guys going through this. My husband’s been deployed since March with no port stops, and it’s been really tough losing his only sanity 30 days through. Spotify doesn’t care about their users.

Why not? Why aren’t you offering support to our troops? It’s not a sleepover when we get deployed. Some of us use music as an escape in our hard times of deployment when we have no choice of going home. So I ask, why won’t you hear our needs and requests and come up with a way to meet in the middle at the very least?

An annual subscription price for the same times worth of downloaded music would be the most sufficient method. However, even if they just did 90days for offline mode, I’m sure the vast majority of commenters would be satisfied. Yes I know they have to pay the artists for their music, but all they need to do is have the app log all of its streams. If the app is capable of shutdown after 30offline days, it’s definitely capable of logging a stream count to keep up with paying artists. I understand there has to be a deadline for the reason of people downloading and then ditching, but the deadline could still be increased for sure. Even 180days would be serving close to 90% of the community.

now more than ever music is a way many military members cope with the stresses of deployment and ESPECIALLY amidst the COVID-19 restrictions, port calls for those Sailors on ships are less likely...meaning...they don't have an opportunity to even pull into port to get cell service. music is critical to mental health & wellness for MANY people. please... help us find a solution - there is really no other way - we are not allowed to bring removable media on board so CDs are not an option. thank you for your consideration...and hopefully timely response.

So, when is this going to be implemented? I'm running out of time and don't quite have the funds right now to outright purchase all the music I listen to.

I know I’m bringing up a dead thread but I just went on deployment with no port calls so being able to connect to the internet wasn’t an option. I also continued paying my subscription without access to music. Paying for the year or even 6 months in advance would be a great solution. And this isn’t just me, it’s about 5,000 people per strike group.
I’m about to deploy again and not being able to listen to music really bums us all out.
