[All Platforms] Option to have a true shuffle

So I’ve been noticing more and more recently that Spotify’s default shuffle feature doesn’t fully shuffle your songs. It does some sort of grouping to try to get similar songs together based off of what I’m sure is dozens of factors. Every time I shuffle a playlist (the one I noticed this with the most is ~100 songs and 6 hours of mostly full albums) it will group the songs mostly or completely together by album/artist, and given the number of times I’ve re-shuffled and checked the order there’s no way it’s just a coincidence. They also generally seem to be in the same order as well. If I hit shuffle play on a playlist it’ll generally put the same artists at the beginning every time.

With larger playlists of albums I am really not a fan of this shuffling method. If I have 6 hours of music on a playlist I will hardly ever have 6 hours to actually listen through the whole thing, but when I do listen to it I would like to hear all of the music on it equally, and not just the artist or two your algorithm likes to shuffle to first.

Anyways, I’m a reasonable man, all I’m asking for is an option to have a true shuffle (take all songs in the list, put them in a random order, and once they’re all played reshuffle them and play them again). Make it premium only if you want. I don’t think you should scrap the current shuffle algorithm because it sucks. Looking at some of the suggestions on here it seems like some people lobbied hard to have it that way. Just add an option for a true shuffle for those of us that don’t care about potentially getting the same song twice in a row.

There's nothing to participate in. It's been 14 weeks since I was asked to participate and I gave them the info they needed, and not a single person from Spotify has gotten back to me about anything.

While I wouldn't use the word scam, because it's not costing me anything to post in this forum, it's clear that this whole "Live Ideas" forum is really nothing but a stall tactic by Spotify to make you think they care about your input. They clearly do not.

I’m guessing with people dropping out of the paid memberships one or two at a time, I’m guessing nothing is ever going to get done either. It’s unfortunate that something paying customers are clamoring for is just outwardly ignored year after year.

Voted because it absolutely pisses me off when I create a huge playlist, have 2 or 3 songs from the same artist in it, click shuffle but 2 or 3 songs from the same artist still play in order. It happens every time without fail. I don’t get it. The only thing I don’t want when I shuffle a playlist is the same artist playing twice. Isn’t that the point? I doubt Spotify will do anything about it though.

Voila maintenant plusieurs mois que j’ai spotify premium. J’ai un petit problème avec la lecture aléatoire de la playlist.

J’ai environ 1800 musiques dans ma playlist. Mais je peux vous assurer que là lecture aléatoire n’est pas si aléatoire que ça. En effet, ce sont souvent les mêmes musiques qui reviennent, à 90% ! Certaines musiques qui sont pourtant bien dans ma playlist ne sont jamais passé en lecture aléatoire, alors que certaines passent tout le temps. C’est assez pénible..

J’aimerai avoir une vraie lecture aléatoire. Il y’a t-il une solution ?

Merci de votre réponse, mais il semblerait que la solution n’a pas encore été trouvée ! C’est quand même la base pour une application comme Spotify d’avoir un VRAI mode aléatoire..
