[All Platforms][Other] Multiple equalizer presets for different devices

I would really love it if you added the ability to add custom Spotify presets. I use different custom equalizers for different speakers/headphones and it always gets frustrating having to change it every time.

As I use Spotify on different players (ranging from home HiFi to motorcycle in-helmet sound), I have to change the equalizer settings every time I change device  to get the sound right.

It would be real added value if Spotify could remember -and automatically select- the equalizer settings for the selected Blue-tooth or other player.

Or at least put an equalizer button on the main page so it’s easy to access, please and thank you!

I really need this to be a thing. If the Spotify app can go into driving mode and adjust its appearance then surely it can also adjust its EQ preset accordingly. It would be good if we could make and save multiple user presets too.

I use Spotify on my phone with my Google Pods Pro and my Cardo headset.
With the Pods Pro, the Google app handles sound with equalizer and spatial...
But I need to activate the Spotify equalizer with the Cardo to have a good sound.

It's a headset for a motorcycle helmet, so going with the option with the gloves and everything is really not ideal.

It's almost shocking that option doesn't already exist.

Could also include mono audio setting in this

I can agree with everyone that for example the AirPods have a steep curve, but in my car it absolutely blows my speakers if I don’t turn it off, and the way to turn it off is awful, you gotta tap home on Spotify, then the profile button, then click on settings and playback and then find equalizer in there. A shortcut button on main menu if Spotify detects a connected Bluetooth device would also help immensely before they go to implement auto switching based on device you’re connected to. Or custom presets would also be helpful…

Would love to have a different graphic equalizer (bass/treble settings) for each different output device.
(And obviously have Spotify automatically switch to using the correct ‘Eq profile’ for the current device in use).

Example: I want to reduce the bass when I’m playing on my Bluetooth speaker, but increase the bass when playing out my phone speaker.

love/thanks. David.

As a long-time Spotify user, It has often puzzled me why the platform doesn’t offer more advanced equalizer [EQ] options. It seems like a must-have for a music streaming service of this caliber.

They could keep the current EQ as a "Simple" version and then allow us to toggle an "Advanced" option with a full Parametric EQ for the audiophile listeners.

Being able to save EQ presets would also be super useful. Users could have 5 or 10 slots for their custom EQ settings, which should be enough for most people. This would make it easy to choose the right EQ for different speakers and listening environments, like the car, living room stereo, or phone speaker. It would also help to quickly adjust settings for different genres or for different types of audio, e.g. music vs. podcasts.

I wish I could give this idea 100 votes. It would really improve my Spotify experience and it relatively easy to code and implement.

Introducing the Automated Equalizer for Spotify, a feature that adjusts the audio settings to match each song automatically. When turned on, it fine-tunes the sound to ensure optimal performance for every track, providing a consistently great listening experience without the need for manual adjustments. Enjoy your music with the best possible sound quality, effortlessly.

As the equalizer is one of the best features setting Spotify apart from others (eg. Apple music), you could even make it more appealing to people who stream music to different devices which themselves don't come with an internal equalizer function.

It would be amazing to set these equalizer profiles automatically for the devices I assign them to.
