[All Platforms][Other] Multiple equalizer presets for different devices

I would really love it if you added the ability to add custom Spotify presets. I use different custom equalizers for different speakers/headphones and it always gets frustrating having to change it every time.

I personally do not enjoy songs with heavy bass on them, to make an EQ that removes that part of the sound, would mess up other songs that sound perfectly fine without an EQ at all. It could be really neat if I could apply individual EQ settings to each song I chose to alter with an EQ and save it on my account.

Wish you could customize equalizer/crossfade/quality settings and save them as presets, then switch between them with a snappy interface or attach them to specific bluetooth devices to switch automatically upon connection.

Provie an EQ preset selection dropdown for direct access in the main app window, like for example next to the volume slider

or in the bar with the primary play/skip controls

I need to change EQ preset per song/genre or my sound system sounds rather dull with Spotify. Gone are the 90s and the rackmount hardware graphic EQ, so it's up to Spotify to provide the missing feature now. Opening the app's settings screen each time I need to change the EQ preset is rather tedious and dull, too.

Attached is an idea how it could look like.

I think it would be super neat and push spotify ahead of the competition even more if users were able to save a EQ preset (premade or custom made) to a song/playlist of their choice.

this would be really nice for songs that they want to hear different parts of better/boost the volume of certain frequencies to their likeness, or just change the vibe entirely.

It's time to address this, for the sake of audiophiles. It doesn't seem very difficult, we just need to be able to save some presets.

It would be even better if we were able to automatically detect and apply pre-set equalization.

When using ear buds or headphones, I want to decrease the bass to protect my hearing by enabling the equalizer. When I'm connected to my car, I want to disable the equalizer to get the full bass.

I want a feature where I can set specific equalizer settings per device so I don't have to constantly toggle the equalizer on or off.

Agreed. Also the fact that choosing a factory preset overwrites the user one is a real pain. A minimum or 3 saveable equalizers would be easy to add and much appreciated.

The app already has equalizer profiles for “acoustic” “vocal reducer” “bass booster” and so on, but allowing users to set their own EQ profiles for their different listening devices would be extremely useful, my car stereo doesn’t have the same sound balance as my headphones and my headphones don’t have the same balance as my earbuds, I’m tired of having to change my EQ every time I play music on a different device, and as another post recommended , give us easy access to the EQ not under 4 different menus. Doesn’t need to be on the music screen, just part of the drop down menu would be good enough.

Setting the crossfade timing can be tricky, especially if you're trying to get it to sound a specific way for certain songs mixing together. I'll find the perfect crossfade either for one song, a couple songs, or a whole playlist, but getting it to sound exactly as I had it before is difficult for me. I always notice even when it's milliseconds off.

Adding custom presets for the crossfade in the playback settings would be super helpful for this issue! I've seen a couple people mention having something similar as a feature to playlists specifically, and I think that having this kind of feature in the settings first would make it easier for that to be possible.

You can set a crossfade, save it, and title it. The presets will be ready right away for whichever vibe you're feeling. From there, hopefully it can be incorporated into right clicking on a playlist as I've seen a couple people suggest (G_rammc64's and Wadislaw_Spizlman's posts are what I've seen)

When connected to home stereo system I need to adjust equalizer to it. When connected to my car the audio system sounds different so, I have to adjust equalizer again differently. My idea is to keep separately equalizer set, one for car and one other audio connection. Pretty easy to do, especially you know when app is in car mode.
