[All Platforms][Other] Multiple equalizer presets for different devices

I would really love it if you added the ability to add custom Spotify presets. I use different custom equalizers for different speakers/headphones and it always gets frustrating having to change it every time.

so that you can switch each equalizer preset for each headphone or speaker in case both all your headphones sound the same

I have multiple devices that I listen to music on and depending on what device it is I like to have different EQ settings. However it is a pain to have to change the custom sliders back and forth all the time. It would be nice to have a User 1,2, and maybe a 3rd. Where it saves my previous settings for quick changes.

Since we’re able to use Spotify’s built in presets as well as move the equalizer on our own, we should be able to save our custom equalizer settings as separate, custom presets. That way, we won’t have to manually change it every time we switch devices, allowing us to keep the sound consistent. Without the presets, we have to memorize what our custom settings look like, and it’s impossible to get it exactly the same every time. Also, I like the equalizer, but an option for an expanded view with a couple more bands, like a 9-band would be nice, while still having the option to use the simple 6 band, and maybe a 3 band (bass, mid, treble) option for a simplified view for people who don’t know what the different frequencies mean. Thanks!

Please add the ability to save custom presets for the equaliser, sometimes if I’m listening on a different device (headphones/speaker) it sounds better with a different eq preset so it would be great to be able to just select one of the already saved presets instead of going and manually adjusting the eq each time

I need that function so hard 😭

I think Spotify should let users save their own custom equalizer presets. Right now, if someone changes their EQ, they lose the old settings unless they manually remember them.

It would be great if there was an option to save your own EQ setups, like the “Bass Boost,” “Vocal Focus,” or “Balanced,” ones and switch between them whenever you want.

This would make it easier for people who like to change their sound depending on what they’re listening to or their mood, without having to reset the sliders every time.

Awareness/Motivation:

Currently, there is only “one” custom equalizer configuration available on both mobile and desktop. While the predefined presets are fine for those needing generic tuning, those that like a specific sound signature that frequently alternate between different audio output devices have to juggle with retuning the equalizer per output device (iem, overear headphones, monitors etc…). Creating ability to alternate between different custom tuning would be a very welcome addition for these applications.

Understanding/Skill:

Adding several custom equalizer tuning slots would alleviate this challenge and provide a means for users to switch to a predefined custom equalizer preferences for different audio devices. Adding a custom name field would allow users to organize these profiles how they wish.

This would greatly enhance the application experience for those that like to enjoy Spotify on various output devices and would be welcome in the “audiophile” community.

With different headphones or speakers, music sounds different because of how those devices are made, which can distort the audio if one pair of headphones are using an EQ tailored to another pair of earbuds. So adding a feature where someone can add presets to  their EQ to make the best out of their audio devices, and even better (if it’s even possible), if the app could automatically switch presets depending on what device is connected to the source.
