[All Platforms][Other] Multiple equalizer presets for different devices

I would really love it if you added the ability to add custom Spotify presets. I use different custom equalizers for different speakers/headphones and it always gets frustrating having to change it every time.

I second this idea. I believe you are supposed to use the car equalizer when in the car, and Spotify one on headphones. Everything else is so automatic I can’t believe this hasn’t been done yet.

I’d also like Spotify to automatically select the eq settings I have set up for each listening device. Eq phone speakers, headphones on phone, Bluetooth speaker, in car.  Spotify should know which situation it is playing in, and automatically dial in my settings.

I've been asking this for a really long time and it seems like it's time has come.

Spotify KNOWS I AM DRIVING, and shows a different display with big words and music videos.

However, the issue is Spotify needs to learn that I turn off the equalizer (built into Spotify) EVERY SINGLE TIME when I am driving, but turn it back on when I use headphones.

So the Spotify car sensing feature could just simply use the user's preferred equalizer setting based on if it is in CAR MODE or not.

thank you!

Please inspire at Neutron player for functions - for car playback, a delay (!) and attenuation control for left and right channels would allow for moving the driver speaker "further" away for better soundstage. I can do that in Neutron, but not in Spotify Player while streaming. Including the ambiophonics filter would be a dream. The electronic crosstalk cancellation makes most of the recordings more enjoyable - maybe not true to the original, but the enhanced space is cool - it is not like adding reverb, one needs to try it.

Although this idea has been brought up before, we are in a time where Bluetooth devices are booming, from cars, airpods, to portable speakers. We are in the wireless age now, but this becomes a hassle when you have multiple devices that all have sound patterns. Switching your headphones can be a massive hassle when you use Spotify, you could get it to sound perfect on your airpods, but then you get home and ask google to play a song and you almost blow out your $300 speaker set up because you have the bass turned up just a hair! Having custom equalizer modes would completely eliminate this problem. Either implementing a mode that remembers what you set the equalizer to last time you used x device or even a more simple method of just having 3-5 custom equalizer options for the user to set then change manually when they switch devices. It’s not like we are asking for a massive Spotify over haul here, This should be a very easy addition that improves the listening experience for everyone.

Marked as new idea, which is a repost of this inactive idea.

Hey Spotify!

Every audio device is personal. Spotify should make sure, that everyone is experiencing audio, that is tailored to their specific device!

Device specific equalizer presets, that change when audio device is changed, are essential.

It’s not anything new. Global Delight made this years ago in their Boom 2 app.

I want to save my equalizer presets, that will be assigned to specific devices.

So simple and experience enhancing!

Project can be also further extended, to collect multiple users presets for specific audio device (by Bluetooth device name or preset name), and when changing equalizer settings - suggest users most used pattern for that device.

That would truly Rock very hard!

Kind regards, Kamil

Yeah thats a great idea, we move the sliders we like it we save it as a custom preset#1 then we move the sliders some more according to our mood then we save it to custom preset #2 maybe upto 5

we should also get to rename this like “night” or “sleep”

I know it was suggested previously and closed, but perhaps this could include a Desktop EQ too?
