[All Platforms][Podcasts] Option to disable or hide podcasts entirely

I don't listen to podcasts and don't intend to. But it currently takes up valuable space in both the Spotify mobile app and also in Android Auto. It's annoying having to see podcasts all the time when I don't care for them and don't want to see them.

Is it not reasonable to just have a toggle to show podcasts or not?

@heheheheheheha Oh it's true, I forgot this, I will give it a try. I use Cider (Windows 11) that is in beta stage, but it's a really beautiful app that have a nice UI.

I want do disable (not only hide) Podcasts the same way I can disable explicit content. On Mobile Devices and WIFI! Many podcasts are not really ment for teens and they spending hours watching podcasts (gamers) instead of listening music..

It has been 3 years thousands of customers are complaining endlessly and they still did nothing, I cannot open the app in the car or in the office bcz of you pushing podcasts on us, shame on you spotify.

More than a year has passed since your acceptance as an idea and you have not said anything about it, how many more votes are needed? If all the money you have invested in putting podcasts on the platform makes it unprofitable to apply this idea, at least you could be honest and say it, say something, whatever. Thanks.

I have 4 children on my family account. I’m grateful that I can block explicit lyrics, but I have no way to control the podcast content. I have transitioned all of their accounts to Spotify Kids, but that service is VERY limited and doesn’t give them access to a variety of music. PLEASE give me the option to remove access to podcasts. A toggle to only allow music would be highly valuable. In the meantime, I’m researching other music services.

Of course Spotify will ignore this. They will never get their revenue from the podcast after this feature is implemented, just saying. They are so greedy.

How many votes are needed to implement this super simple feature??? I'm actually thinking of unsubscribing because you fail to pay attention to your customers....I don't want these podcasts that I DON'T EVEN FOLLOW to show on my HOME SCREEN !!! There's no way to remove them, it's truly ridiculous.
