[All Platforms] Remember Position in Playlist / Album

Please remember the current song playing in a playlist so if I switch away to a different playlist and then switch back, Spotify will know where I left off.

I often can't finish a playlist right away or my mood changes so I might switch to a different playlist. Later, I want to finish the previous playlist, not start over again.

Hey everyone,

This idea accidentally ended up in the wrong board, so we're moving it back here.

We're keeping the Not Right Now status as we don't have any immediate plans to implement this. As soon as we have any new information to share, rest assured we'll check back in here.

Take care.

Thank you. I will look into it as well.

Please add this Spotify.

Want it badly.

Scenario 1: I love to switch between the things in spotify, like listening to the music during the day and to the latest podcasts in the evening during my sport excercise. It's really annoying that I have to keep in memory what track in the playlist I was  listening to.yesterday.

Scenario 2: I'm a fan of some local FM radio who publish their playlist every year. This playlist consist of 1500 tracks. I download it and listent to in my long trips. It's merely impossible to remember and to find the last track where you stopped last time in the playlists like this one (I guess the're not so rare on Spotify - many popular shared playlists are as long as a few hundreds of tracks!)

need this badly!

poessibility

Automatic marking of the last playback position - so that listening can be continued at the position last heard, regardless of the device used..

I like putting DJ on in the evening but sometimes I go out of Spotify and then come back in to resume listening and it goes back to the first song it played that day and I have to click through all the track I already listened to before i can listen to fresh choices. This must be something you can fix? Resume from where you left off? Thanks

Spotify will not fix this.

Ever listened to an audio book or a musical or any other playlist, then showed your friend another song and completely forgot at what song you were?

I have that constantly when switching between audio books and listening to music, meaning I have to click through at least 5 book chapters to continue listening. I believe that there is an easy fix:

Remember the last listened song of the playlist/audio book and add a button "Continue playing" (for audio books that could actually be the default)

This is one of the most missing feature! I listen to different stuff for travel, work, walk, sport. For example the Star Wars music list contains 54 hours of music and it is very difficult to continue (not I set the previous song to Hidden manually)! If I play randomly, this randomness starts again when I restart a given playlist! Even I cannot jump to the currently played item in a log playlist. This part is very badly designed!

Grrr .. this should be basic for any player

Is it because you don't want us to have choice over what we play versus what you promote?
