[All Platforms] Remember Position in Playlist / Album

Please remember the current song playing in a playlist so if I switch away to a different playlist and then switch back, Spotify will know where I left off.

I often can't finish a playlist right away or my mood changes so I might switch to a different playlist. Later, I want to finish the previous playlist, not start over again.

Hey everyone,

This idea accidentally ended up in the wrong board, so we're moving it back here.

We're keeping the Not Right Now status as we don't have any immediate plans to implement this. As soon as we have any new information to share, rest assured we'll check back in here.

Take care.

Please implement this - it would be a very useful feature

Add a feature that allows playlists to automatically continue from where the listener last stopped, similar to how podcasts and audiobooks work. Even if the user switches to a different playlist in between, Spotify should remember the last played position in each playlist, so listeners don’t have to manually search for the song where they left off.

This has been bugging me for years. When I get to work I want to listen to my music. When I'm driving I switch to podcasts.

It's so annoying that when I get back to working I have to choose a new podcast instead of resuming the music I was listening to without having to listen to the same music.

If people would cancel paid subscription stating this feature not implemented, it would be released.

It's annoying to play a list, then search another song or podcast momentarily, and then being unable to resume the playlist right where I left it, so it starts playing the same songs again. Spotify should offer the option (not by default) to resume the previously played playlist. I see this was voted 10+ years ago. Why not consider it now?

Funny thing is that no one with the power to make it happen probably even knows people really want this feature. If they did, it would have been done years ago. The people who monitor these threads from Spotify just pat you on the head and hope you go away.
