I think that it would be a good idea to have sorting & filtering functionalities for the searched items.
For e.g. you search for something and you choose to see only the playlists -> You can't really sort the findings.
It would be good to have a sorting dropdown menu with options like:
- newly created playlists
- sort by the number of followers (increasingly and decreasingly)
- sort by the most recently updated ones
It would also be good to have a filter option for things like:
- year (e.g.: display only songs/playlists between 2019-2020)
- no. of followers (e.g.: display only songs/playlists that have more / less than 1.000.000 followers)
The mentioned fields are only examples, this is a complex idea and the fields can be adjusted, adapted and some other ones might be added.

As the Spotify portfolio of community curated playlists grows in size, it seems increasingly important to implement features that allow customers to easily sort & filter through playlists, and find playlists to follow.
A filter function seems a little far off, but a sort function could fit into the UX design without compromising too much on simplicity, yet able to add valuable functionality. Definitely a vote from me. ✌️
It would also be nice to have the ability to create folders in order to organize playlists.
