[All Platforms] Separate Queues for Podcasts and Music

Hi there,

Would like to propose this again as it looks like related tickets were closed and not addressed.

Just want to share a concrete example on why this would be helpful... Throughout the day I'm listening to either music (while working) OR podcasts (while commuting). If I'm commuting to work, I'd like to queue up podcasts to listen to while commuting. This includes coming back to the same podcast queue when I'm commuting home from work (ie. same queue in the morning and evening). The problem is, I listen to music during the day while I'm working. So I need to clear my podcast queue and then queue everything up again after work. 

I think fixing this would increase user engagement on your apps. For example, having my podcasts on Apple podcasts is just more convenient now because I don't need to deal with this daily inconvenience. Every week, that's multiple hours of engagement per user (for a subset of podcast listeners) that you could be gaining back.

I'm a huge fan of Spotify, so I'd love to be able to seamlessly use your app over Apple Podcasts for this use case. Thanks

Yes, this! I came to make this exact suggestion. It's distressing to find that it was suggested 4 years ago, and nothing has been done about it. I'm shifting more of my podcasts (exclusively listening on my phone) to Podcast Addict just to avoid messing up the queue of music on my desktop app (all music, no podcasts).

Separating podcasts from music is a must have... I have to listen to music on YouTube so I don't mess up my podcast queue

Don't want to have to bounce back and forth trying to remember which song or podcast I was listening to. Would like a recently played for podcast and I've recently played for music when I click on it it remembers what I was on last

Came to the community for the first time just to suggest the same idea. I struggle with this issue two times per day (commuting to and from work) and its really annoying. Please fix this!!

Hey, just wanted to add that this would be a great feature.

When I find a new podcast that I like, I want to be able to go through its history and queue up episodes that sound interesting. This means that the queue can easily be dozens of podcasts long and also that there has been some time invested into making it, which makes it valuable to me. While listening to music with a queue full of select podcasts is possible, it is quite UI intensive to do in order to not change the queue. 

A separate queue for podcasts and music would fix this issue cleanly!
