Since there is a Spotify Wrap at the end of the year there could also be a feature where you can see the user that was most similar to yourself over the whole course of the year, This could include their listening habits, music taste, favorite genre, favorite song etc...

It could be interesting to see who, out of the hundreds of millions of Spotify listeners, is just like you. It could be a novelty that is added to the Spotify Wrap.

Afterward, you can add them as a friend and share music in the future.

Adding a feature where based on the same location and the same songs you liked you can find new friends or a partner

I would be very curious to know, who is as crazy as me to play song “X” ten times in a row. 

I would share my information - which songs/audiobooks I’ve played. Spotify could keep track of the metrics I choose to share (how many times I played song “X”, last five sequence of audio books I listened to, etc.) and suggest profiles of those who 1) Have opted in to share their profiles with those who share same metrics as them

2) Have at least one metric in common with me 

In this age when there are dedicated friendship apps, I think Spotify is missing out by not creating a social platform. Some of the deepest friendships I have are with those who deeply resonate with my music interest. It’s a very unifying force - music (and perhaps (audio) books, too but I’m a music head, not book worm)

It would be so cool if every year, similar to the Spotify Wrapped, we got a “musical taste twin” of the year. The idea is that anyone who opts in will get matched with the Spotify user who has the most identical music taste/songs listened to for the year. To me, music is a language. It’s the way we find other people who speak our language regardless of geographical location or age or race or gender. It would be so cool to know who has identical or similar tastes and listening habits to ours!!
