[All Platforms][Your Library] Increase maximum Songs allowed in Your Music

I feel like the maximum amount of songs allowed in one playlist, and subsequently in "Songs" playlist under the new "Collections" feature, should be more than 10,000.

Quite frankly it should be unlimited.

We are paying for a service but limited on how many songs we are able to save? That is absurd to me.

I recently started saving all of my albums into "Collections" and got stuck at about 1/4 of the way through - 10,000 songs has been reached and I am no longer able to save any more albums.

PLEASE INCREASE MAX NUMBER OF SONGS IN COLLECTION FEATURE!!!

WHAT IS A COLLECTION IF YOU HAVE TO LIMIT YOUR TASTE???

Updated on 2020-05-26

Hey,

Thanks for coming to the Idea Exchange.

We're excited to be marking this idea as implemented!
We've now removed the limit on saved items in Your Library, making it possible to save songs, and albums on Spotify to your heart's content.

As the app has changed quite a bit since this idea was submitted, please be aware that some functionality is now different. This change does not impact the limit on the number of songs in a playlist other than your Liked Songs.

For more info, check out this blog post.

Huh, you can track over 10,000 votes on an idea but can't track over 10,000 songs for me. Weird.

That's a false equivalency. Spotify's community platform is Lithium, not
something they created themselves.

I only mention that because it's not really helping drive any sort of point
home to them, which is that the problem they've created isn't unsolvable if
they'd just put some effort into it.

This is incredibly irritating.

As much as you think you're giving a "great experience" to users right now, you have been steadily getting worse since around April, and we're already getting the "okay experience". Apple Music has a 100,000 song limit, why don't you?

Hello! I keep getting th Epic Collection message no matter how many albums I remove from my library. Please fix my account and please remove this limit! It's ridiculous!

I agree this is a huge miss for Spotify, for those of us that want to save more than 10,000 songs...hard to believe only 1% of users reach this level. Why can your competition do this easily but Spotify can't??

What's the status on this? I'm already having this problem for years. I might switch streaming services because this is ridiculous.

Status: You should switch.

Just did, thanks for the tip

To the few of you who might catch this coment before it's buried by the next page of comments to come: in the absence of the Spotify developers ever giving a /carp/ for this community (at least from what I've seen), it might be worth rethinking how you use Saved (now called "Liked")  Songs, now that they are detached from Saved Albums. You can save your favorite albums, and now you can treat Saved Songs basically as a playlist of just your favorite songs, which are likely much fewer than all songs on an album. (Admittedly, this only helps the situation if you had been saving full albums previously, which forced you to fill up your Saved Songs list.)
