[All Platforms] "Don't Like Button" should be added to all sections

Hello everyone,

I am not sure why it keeps changing between updates, although in the past Daily Mixes have the Like & Dislike button. But this time around it has been completely removed and is only available Under Your Weekly Discovery.

It would be nice if the "Don't Like Button" was added everywhere, from Weekly Discovery, Daily Mixes, even when searching specific songs, albums, genres etc. to better filter our music preferences.

Also I find on Android on the drop down menu the Don't like button rarely ever works and have to enter the app directly. Like always works perfectly fine.

I would appreciate it if this could be considered.

Thank you

Folks should vote with your wallet.  Now that Tesla has an Apple Music app, there’s very little reason to use a service that keeps recommending music that I dislike

smchargue-us

Really needed. I hate, i meant i *HATE* Crazy Frog and Perry Gripp (count your blessings if you don't know them) - but my grandkids love them and want to listen ALL the time.  That's fine, but I don't want those "artist" in my daily mix or my year end review.  Spotify needs a feature that lets you say I'm listening to this artist/song under duress.

I am so tired of tracks I hate popping up and not having the ability to hide or ignore them. There is just no option on the context menu. I pay a subscription, and not being able to hide songs makes me just want to abandon the service entirely. There is this awful track that keeps playing and ruining my experience.

My kids love the Disney playlist and listen to it every night, but there is one song that creeps them out and gives them nightmares. It’s ridiculous that I can’t remove it for them. I have it hidden on my phone which I use to cast, but yet it still plays. There has to be some way that I can remove this song from ever playing on any device. I’m tired of these late night wakeups because of one song that I apparently can’t get rid of.

Hi @Justme41 , whilst I agree this would be a nice function to have, for set/pre-made playlist there's even on other platforms no feature to hide those songs. On deezer for example you can select to not suggest this song to you (like in randomly generated mixes), but that means it's still gonna be in this playlist.

A good solution for your case (and the peace of mind for your children) would probably be then to create an own playlist out of this one and just delete that one song.

Also, unfortunately this case has been closed. If you're interested in something related, which is to take out songs out of suggestions /dislike/block them then there's this topic - at least that one is still open, albeit for years....

Why on Earth do we still not have this feature? It's clearly wanted, I can see literally no upside to denying us this ability (which we literally used to already have), and you allegedly accepted this as a "good idea" YEARS ago. How hard can it be to just give us back this button? How cheap and shoddy is this app that you can't even do this? It's things like this that are making me feel more and more like canceling my subscription would be the right call.

It appears that Spotify clearly doesn't care about this group of users.  So i guess they won't miss my money.  Just discovered that YouTube music has several times more songs in their catalog than Spotify.   And this ongoing "Don't like button " fiasco just makes the decision a no-brainer.  Good bye  spotify.  We tried to warn you for years.   But you just don't give a **bleep**.  F U.

It would be great to get David Guetta to stop inserting "I'm Good" Albums. There's over 40 songs now and 8 albums of the same dumb song. Sure I go through and block the song. Yet, spotify will SUGGEST and play the dumb song regardless of it being hidden. Super annoyed. Spotify has gone down hill in the last 4 years and giving them $10/month sounds like a rip when they now make it difficult to find playlists. If I wanted Spotify to peddle politicians or musicians political or podcasts that are dumb - I'd request it. I didn't, so give me the option to remove this **bleep**!

Abysmal customer feedback loops here. Spotify is clearly ignoring letting customer curate their music tastes.

Think I'm done with Spotify.

Agreed people should vote for it!
