[All Platforms] "Don't Like Button" should be added to all sections

Hello everyone,

I am not sure why it keeps changing between updates, although in the past Daily Mixes have the Like & Dislike button. But this time around it has been completely removed and is only available Under Your Weekly Discovery.

It would be nice if the "Don't Like Button" was added everywhere, from Weekly Discovery, Daily Mixes, even when searching specific songs, albums, genres etc. to better filter our music preferences.

Also I find on Android on the drop down menu the Don't like button rarely ever works and have to enter the app directly. Like always works perfectly fine.

I would appreciate it if this could be considered.

Thank you

On the phone, you can dislike any song, from any location.
However, on the PC, you can only dislike songs in the 'discovery' and 'radar' groupings. I want to be able to dislike any song from any location or 'grouping'.

What phone app? on my iPhone the latest release lets you “hide” a song from the playlist, but the is not the same as dislike….

I want to know WHY the dislike function was removed??

Vitezslavfiala

As soon as a competing service appears, I cancel the regular payment and go elsewhere. This is really dislike. I'll ban black music a million times and offer it to me again. Total dementia.

Gr3g0sNZ

why isnt this implemented yet??? want me to cancel my sub coz you keep playing a song thats triggering !!!! NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES I SKIP IT!!!!!!! OH AND I GO TO TRY FIND IT AND SEE IF I CAN BLOCK IT AND END UP PLAYING IT FML

Any news on this?

The dislike button works really well on the discover page, could this button please be enabled everywhere else?

This would make it much easier to create huge playlists of new music and slowly remove songs you dislike as you listen to them.

Also for playlists made by other users or artist albums, I can keep most of the list while only blocking 2 or 3 songs I don't want to listen to without having to create a duplicate playlist or dedicated album playlists

Found this after a ticket merge, how is this suggestion nearly 2 years old, marked as a "good idea", but still no sign of change?

Looks like my suspicions that this forum is just a blackhole

Agreed with this.

There are lots of things Spotify currently suggests, especially in stuff like "Mixed Bag" that I'm absolutely never going to listen to. Being able to mark these as "disliked" (with a way to undo in case of a mistake) would be a good improvement not only to the user experience, but to the algorithm as a whole that could be tuned better with additional information

For sure, we need a way of influencing the Algorithm better.

When i use Spotify to audition new Bands i have come across outside of
Spotify so nothing to do with Spotify Algorithm i always put Spotify into
"Private" mode so in Theory its Algorithm is then ignoring what i am
listening too.
I also Guard my Account from lettin 'others' play Music on it for this
reason i don't want this Algorithim unduly influenced because it an
already, still, after many Years '''Training''' it to my Likes/Dislikes the
best i can with the absurdly '''''Limited''''' options within Spotify it
gives you to influence/push it into or out of a certain direction.

Anyway what they should also ADD imho is a way you can remove you ''Play'''
History from the Algorithm for a limited time. Last Hour. Last Day. Last
Week.
Because no matter how careful i am i sometimes forget to set it to Private
mode while i am Auditioning Albums for a Session and then said Algorythm
will incorporate those Albums/Tracks into what it thinks i like/want to
listen too in the Future when half the time i would not want to hear them
again.
I am a DJ so i audition a lot of Music that i don't want appearing again
ect.
