Allow processing of Local Files & Offline Download for FLAC files

So I just purchased a few albums, some of which are MP3, others are FLAC. On my desktop, I used Spotify's Local Files feature, added them to a playlist, then set that playlist to Download Offline.

On my phone, I then also set the playlist to Download Offline. The MP3 albums processed correctly. The FLAC albums would not download no matter what I tried.

After many support threads and looking into workarounds, I found Spotify just plain does not support this feature combo for FLAC files. That seems ridiculous to me in the year 2024, so I continued looking into options.

I finally just resorted to manually copying the FLAC albums to my phone cause I was getting sick of this problem. One album detected flawlessly, yay, now my playlist works with that one. The other, for whatever reason, does not think its the same album that I uploaded and added from my desktop. Literally the same metadata, just copied over USB. All that work just for this to still not work for this album, an album that I've been looking forward to for years.

I'm at a loss at this point, because I don't want duplicate tracks all over my playlists just because my desktop app and phone app can't handle processing the same metadata. This is making my head spin. Why am I paying a premium for an application that can't process FLAC files in 2024?

I kinda assumed all music platforms figured out FLAC in the early 2000's. Can we maybe update Spotify so we're not encountering the same file format issues I struggled with 20 years ago?
