Allow us to disable recommendations of all kinds

I feel mistreated every time I open Spotify, with "X For You". It's not for me. Your recommendations are always way off. In fact, I don't want anything of any kind (songs, sections, releases, videos) that Spotify thinks is "for me".

I manage my Spotify content maticulously. My experience revolves around music that I collect into playlists, without Spotify's help.

Please respect your (paying) users more. Allow us to opt out of all of your misfires that are your 'recommendations', 'new releases for you', 'videos for you', etc.

Remember the old adage that computers shouldn't ask users something they could already know? The same goes for shoving content on screen that users didn't ask for. We pay to use the functionality at our initiative, not yours.

Totally agree — paying users should have full control over their experience. Spotify should offer a simple toggle to disable all recommendations and let listeners enjoy only the music they choose.

Yes, 100%. I'm also frustrated with amount of new recommendations embedded within playlists (even when shuffle is set not to do so). I have plenty of songs to curate a playlist from -- you don't need to pull in songs I've never listened to unless I explicitly want that! (Besides, they should know from my listening data that I am a creature of habit and enjoy what is familiar to my default. When I want to explore, I will do so on my terms)

It’s always way off for me too, or so generic the boredom and obvious sponsored / commercial lean gives me a headache. I would use these tools but only if they brought something genuinely new and understood my personal taste profile which it doesn’t seem to do. In the absence of good functionality it would be better to allow it to be turned off.

Recommendations are mostly promoted or advertised content, on basis of who pays dearly - gets displayed on top of the homepage kind of a scheme.

Let us customize the homepage, or let us launch the app right into library, or music-only mode. We don't want your ****ty advertised nsfw podcast/video podcasts pushed into the homepage.

I know right! If we can pay, we should be able to customise our home page, our recommendations.
