[Amazon Echo] Play multiple Speakers at the same Time

I recently got six(6) of the 2nd gen Amazon Echo Dots and placed them everywhere in my home. And I realized the policy of Spotify that is limiting to only one device to play music at the same time bothers me a lot when I set Spotify as a default music libary. For example, if one of my family members asks one of Echo Dots in his/her room to play music A, then music B on another Echo Dot I'm listening to stops playing.

I know there is Spotify Family Plan but my kids can't join that because they are just young and they don't have any email account yet. And also I don't want to create an account for them yet.

I believe Spotify could make possible to play the same music over multiple Echo Dots under the same network at the same time somehow even while it's not possible to play music on other multiple devices. Maybe by verifying some factors like if it's for Amazon Echo Dots under the same network under the same account.

Hey folks, Spotify staff here.

We wanted to post an update as this idea has reached over 500 votes from our users.

We’re always working on improving the Spotify experience across platforms, but we’re afraid we don’t have any further information to share at the moment.

We typically don't announce integrations with third parties in advance. The best place to keep an eye on is our blog for news updates about any such partnerships.

Yes I have given up waiting too. There are really good options to Spotify
now.

I have been a Spotify Family subscriber for a few years now but have recently signed up for the Apple Music Family Plan because we cannot have multiple simultaneous  Spotify streams to our Amazon Echo devices. I will shortly stop our Spotify subscription which is a big shame as our elder daughter much prefers it for the social features.

Apple Music has solved this perfectly so there is no technical reason that Spotify cannot. Very disappointed that this still has not been addressed after so long.

Yeah, and the sadest thing is that spotify didn‘t even answer on this topic.

So long as you keep paying your subs, they don’t really care. A few people leaving in a huff isn’t going to change a single thing.

I hope all of you voted for this thread.

This is rather pathetic given other music services have managed to provide this functionality.  I much prefer the Spotify app but unfortunately I'll be moving to Amazon Music or Apple now.

I prefer Spotify, but moving AM because this isn't possible with a family.   Fix this soon!

Very insulting that Spotify will not fix this - simple to allow multiple songs play form one family account.  Unfortunately i will have to switch provider.

This is really disappointing that after all this time there is still no solution for families that use Amazon Echos. The Spotify UX for families is generally very poor compared with competitors like Amazon and Apple. It took years and over 13,000 user votes on the Ideas forum to get the explicit filter implemented (see [All Platforms] Explicit Filter - The Spotify Community) which was a very simple change and an essential feature for families.

Perhaps this could be the right way to get higher attention. But in general, the poorest community support I‘ve ever seen.
