[Amazon Echo] Play multiple Speakers at the same Time

I recently got six(6) of the 2nd gen Amazon Echo Dots and placed them everywhere in my home. And I realized the policy of Spotify that is limiting to only one device to play music at the same time bothers me a lot when I set Spotify as a default music libary. For example, if one of my family members asks one of Echo Dots in his/her room to play music A, then music B on another Echo Dot I'm listening to stops playing.

I know there is Spotify Family Plan but my kids can't join that because they are just young and they don't have any email account yet. And also I don't want to create an account for them yet.

I believe Spotify could make possible to play the same music over multiple Echo Dots under the same network at the same time somehow even while it's not possible to play music on other multiple devices. Maybe by verifying some factors like if it's for Amazon Echo Dots under the same network under the same account.

Nah - as long as they are more interested in having and selling
personalized data than in user experience this will be a feature and not a
bug.

I also just upgraded to the family plan, expecting that if i was paying for a family plan covering 6 users, then I should be able to have 6 devices playing concurrently, regardless of which account is logged in. The fact I have to create different users and connect them to the different devices is a bit silly and very limiting. Time to switch to Amazon music.

I just tested this with an Apple music family plan and was able to play music through different speakers without any account shenanigans. Apple music also provides lossless without additional cost unlike Spotify which still hasn't released lossless and plans on charging more for it.

I've also heard that Deezer family allows for playing different music through a few smart home speakers without account shenanigans and they already provide lossless at the same price as Spotify.

Just joined Spotify from Amazon, just realised this mind boggling limitation, and will now cancel and switch back to Amazon. Useless.

I hate to be the +1 on this bandwagon, but I just switched to Spotify trying to reduce my Amazon payments. I could not have imagined this would be an issue with one of the best streaming services out there. I will have to be going back to amazon with this limitation. My children are constantly battling over who is playing music, and I am getting grief like you would not believe. I will not set up a separate account for a 6 year old who is just wanting to listen to music. This topic has been open for over 7 YEARS! I mean come on......

For Australian users we do not have Amazon Households or any of these features. Amazon Music does not support explicit filter in Australia so have turned to Spotify. The single speaker limit became apparent very quickly.

There is no reason other than pedantic nerdery to not allow the Family Plan to play back on upto 6 devices without some arbitrary BS about different Amazon accounts which we cannot use because as said there is no Households here.

Onto Apple Music I guess if they provide an explicit filter and can playback on multiple devices.

The way this is setup really feels almost antagonistic towards people willing to spend the money on a family plan. I've seen people say that this is a limitation because of Spotify connect. I don't care about Spotify Connect. If it's the problem let is disable it and use this service the way we want.
