[Android] Android Widget

Having a home screen widget for Android would be really nice. All other media players have one on Android so it'd be great to see that in Spotify too. It'd make things so much easier to just be able control to Spotify from your home screen instead of swiping down for the notification bar or opening the app. It's really simple functionality so please can you add it.

We’re excited to let you know the Android Widget is back. To get listening, make sure you’re on the latest version of the app and Spotify will show in the widget menu on your device. The widget is now resizable too and some stability issues have been fixed.

I want my widget back. I have used it since launch. and I have been a premium user since launch. Always easier to control when exercising. Sad times.  This is what separates Android from Apple **bleep**.

Spotify clearly isn't interested in good customer service to long time paying members. This feature reduces easily controlling music while driving. I'll now consider if there is a better app available and way that i pay for music.

Please add back in to the next update, should have never been taken away. I actually thought my phone had the problem as I couldn't believe it had been taken away intentionally...

If widget doesnt return by next week. Will simply unsubscribe my family account. Simply knowing it was removed for absolutely no reason, no benefit is incomprehensible and almost wanting me unsubribe right now. Whos genius idea was this anyways? And what thought process was used? If any......

what a dumb move. First remove a feature almost everyone on Android is using, then have a vote to reintroduce it again. 

Get the widget back or I'm cancelling my subscription and moving to another application, plenty of choices out there.

From one-tap access to my music, it now takes 7 taps to access my music and a lot more time.  I drive a lot, this is a ball-ache.  

I wonder if Deezer and Joox still have their Widgets?  I have been a Premium Subscriber for a while now, and you guys probably don't really care, but I am checking out other music streaming services and I am out of here!

PLEASE BRING BACK THE WIDGET!

Considering every other music streaming service has one. I literally use the widget everyday. My notification controls havent worked since I've had this phone (note 9) there isnt even a notification for spotify including the controls. They just aren't there. This feature has been an awesome one available from the first day I started using spotify. I could just hit the home button and bam all the music controls I need right there every time. Now I have no way to control them without opening the app because the notification bar controls dont exist on my phone. Why would you remove this?? If anything, make it better.
