Having a home screen widget for Android would be really nice. All other media players have one on Android so it'd be great to see that in Spotify too. It'd make things so much easier to just be able control to Spotify from your home screen instead of swiping down for the notification bar or opening the app. It's really simple functionality so please can you add it.

This takes some Apple level mental gymnastics to remove features and functionalities from your product while thinking it's a good idea.

This is **bleep**ing ridiculous. I don't normally use widgets on Android, but when I do - it's the Spotify one. It is quite literally the only widget I've ever seen useful, and you remove it - for what?! It just doesn't make any sense.

Actually starting to feel, is it all a cynical ploy? maybe you think there is no such thing as bad publicity and this was a way to get people talking and in a week you put it back, either way I hope it hurts your bottom line; more so if it is for publicity.

To remove widget feature was dumb unless your goal was to make experience worse and if you did it for attention then shame on you as I expected better. Its bad enough having company's virtue signal all the time now, please don't purposefully crapyify things as well for attention. Please be more samurai sword of music apps and less the blunt, rusty, about to break chain link fence post, even if it's just for a week.

Spotify? More like spotibyeeeeeee Felicia. I've been a premium member since November '18 and to make a change like this. Hahahahahah. $10 a month is bull not having the widget. Soooo anyone got ideas of how to port your hard earned library elsewhere I'm all ears. Removing the widget was the dumbest move to make. My launcher home screen is empty and I'm taking my business elsewhere unless Spotify makes news before month end to bring a new feature to replace the widget.
