[Android Automotive][Radio] Offline Mode

Isn't it annoying when you are driving around in your new car, playing music from Spotify and it suddenly just stops? You are might driving over mountain roads with no internet connection and no radio connection and you are forced to listen to the awkward silence, knowing that you will not get internet connection in at least an hour.

My question is then why doesn't Spotify in Android Automotive (in cars like Polestar 2) have an offline function, just like on the android and iOS phones? I would suggest an idea of implementing offline mode to be able to download music playlists so you don't need to listen to the awkward silence when you have no internet connection to listen to your music. I hope I'm not the only one thinking about this, and I hope there can be a solution for the problem.

I would also like to see this feature. I have a Polestar 2, and especially on trips through rural areas, having the ability to download a few of my playlists to be available without a cellular connection would be a huge quality of life improvement.

It seems like this can't be that hard to implement in Android Automotive since it's already on Android, but no update from the Spotify team since 2021 is a bit troubling.

Spotify, please read the Android Automotive application guidelines:

If applicable, implement offline playback support. Cars with Android Automotive OS are expected to have their own data connectivity, meaning a data plan is included in the cost of the vehicle or paid for by the user. However, cars are also expected to have more variable connectivity than mobile devices.
