Bring back "New episodes"

You removed New Episodes from our home library and said it would be under Podcasts, but it's not. Now I have to go through every single podcast to find the new episodes.

Unfathomable change. Why would I want finished episodes in my podcast episode feed?? Dear god Spotify, just give us the old podcast feed back, it was fine!

[update: after a day of trying to fight my way through this ridiculous podcast feed to, you know, as you do, listen to podcasts I HAVEN'T ALREADY LISTENED TO, I need to update my assessment. Not just unfathomable, but unusable. Painful. Grotesque. Torture. Name me a superlative and I'll apply it. Given that I've seen this described by a mod in another thread as 'expected behaviour', I can say that this is, hands down, the dumbest 'expected behaviour' of any app that I've ever seen]

Removing this was unnecessary.

When viewing the new following list I have to hunt through the list to see what I have and have not listened too instead of looking in a convenient and helpful single New Episodes list. From there I can quickly add them to a list to listen too later, or mark them read should it be a topic or show I don't want to review that day/week.

New episodes is where I spend most of my time working with podcasts. The following list is not intuitive for new members either as there is no hint about about clicking "Podcasts" again to view followed.

Thank you for that feed. I'm considering changing the app because this new feature makes it useless to me. Why doesn't it hide the episodes I don't want to listen to or ones I have listened to? I only think they want us to use the algorithm.

I couldn't agree more. I messaged Spotify to ask if I could remove already played episodes and they told me to use the New Episodes function! I tried to explain that Spotify have removed that!

Who came up with the idea of keeping all episodes you have listened to in the same feed like the ones you haven't listened to yet? I have to scroll for ages to get to an episode that has been released some time ago and it's confusing since you now have to look for the green check mark every time while before the update you could be sure that in your new episodes feed you will find only episodes that are indeed new to you. If it stays that way, I will seriously consider using a different podcatcher. Please don't reduce usability for no reason!

I’ll be switching services as well, after 10+ years as a premium user.  The bomb they set off in the podcast UX has made it almost unusable.  Breaking something that worked is not a good sign of things to come, and I don’t see a reason to pay money to watch a bad product become worse.  Maybe if they lobotomize everyone who thought this was a good idea, and then either change it back or make it better I’d consider returning, but sadly as of today I’m going with apple. ✌️

I agree. And even NEW EPISODES had problemas, because I can only add episodes starting from the new one, e not by the oldest (i did not listened). Id like to order NEW EPISODES (not listened) by the oldest to listen in the right order.

If they don't change this back I might cancel my subscription and switch services. The "create" button was an awful decision and this is even worse. If Spotify wants to make the app less user friendly so I see more payola, I may as well switch to a service that has a functional interface.

From an accessibility point this move really sucks. Why are the boxes so giant? Now it takes much longer to scroll through my new episodes and by the time i get past a few I just give up. Also I liked having the episodes I was part way through right at the top so they were easy to find. The new feed might look visually appealing to some people but it's way too much for me and it's harder to use. Please bring the old one back.

I don't understand how I am supposed to find new episodes anymore. I will switch if this isn't fixed asap. I don't understand why Spotify always treats podcasts as a second tier product
