Bring back the Liked/Heart icon in playlists

Bring back the Like icon in playlists.
We need another thread on this as I cannot fathom why you still take away features that everyone uses - check social media (or just your own forum) to see how everybody misses the Liked/Heart icon and nobody liking that it has been removed.

It's nothing about the icon/name itself - whether it is called "Like" or "Heart" doesn't matter - but we need to see which songs we have liked or haven't liked (yet).

Together with the fact that Spotify never have had changelogs or explains why they change the design of their apps, we're just growing more and more frustrated in that we never know what might change or be removed next. You have so much metadata on songs as well, but no way to add or remove extra/new columns in playlists to sort by. And now another one is gone, the like/liked/heart button.

Please explain your decision to change the functionality and design, or please bring it back.

i have seen SO MANY posts about this, this feature is in high demand. taking away the heart was the WORST update spotify has released so far. the heart icon was simple and easy, it made it super clear what songs you have liked and what ones you don't whereas now you can't even tell. the new update makes liked songs less meaningful and less recognisable.

The removal of the heart was the first time I've ever downgraded the spotify app on my phone

UAD1989

I've just got a new laptop, installed Spotify and now this..
What is happening, why was this so important feature suddenly removed?

We need this to better organise our playlists and make sure we're not doubling up.

When can we expect a fix?

The heart feature getting taken away is the only thing I absolutely extremely hate about spotify right now and it frustrates me every single day making me feel less interested in using the app. Yes it was very simple all you had to do was heart a song and it went straight to your liked songs list and now when trying to like a song or unlike a song you have to go through this process of a tab opening up and having to choose to remove it from your liked songs. When we were at the heart feature all we had to do was unheart it and it was removed simple

There's a few good suggestions here actually. I agree to it all.

There is an icon on desktop if you hover over individual songs to see if they are "Liked", but I really miss having a separate column that's always there.

Even better would be a way to choose which columns you want, so that you can customise if you want artist/liked/genre, etc.

Regarding the likes column, I find it useful for scanning through albums or playlists of other people and then playing only the things I like within that. If it was a separate, sort-able(!) column, that would be amazing.

Actually, I made my own "Idea" for this which you can also vote for:

It is TERRIBLE that you removed the LIKE button!

I go to a concert every other week and, before the show, I make a playlist of what I am going to listen, using the band's recent setlists from setlist.fm. So all of those songs that the bands play live now have a checkmark next to them and I have no idea if that's a song I like or simply a song the band played live.

There are many other reasons one might add on a playlist a song they don't particularly like. For example, it might be a playlist for a party and it's a popular song that I have to add.

PLEASE BRING BACK A SEPARATE LIKE BUTTON!!!

Spotify Team,

Please remove the icon next to each song in playlists that indicates whether the song is saved to a playlist or not, and instead add a like button that indicates whether the user liked it, as in previous versions. If a playlist is currently being viewed, an icon indicating that the songs within it are added to a playlist is completely unnecessary. Adding a like button instead makes much more sense, as users can create playlists for various other reasons, and a song being on a playlist doesn't necessarily mean the user likes it.

Thanks for the consideration!
