Bring back the heart button!

It's SUPER frustrating, we can't see which songs we liked in our own playlists, Bring back the heart button PLEASE, the new way doesn't work AT ALL

I agree that the deleted LIKE button is a disaster.  This is a major downgrade!!

Agreed. My playlist issues seems to be solved but the like button change is really bad

Agree completely. This isn’t about the plus. It’s about seeing which songs you’ve already liked at a glance. Please just put hearts back on albums and playlists.

Even the desktop redesign they just pushed out (which has always been highly superior to the mobile app) still has the like indicator as well as some other great functional and aesthetic features such as a button to toggle on/off lyrics and rounded corners on album artwork. Does Spotify not understand the concept of brand synergy?

ridiculous feature to remove. being able to see which songs from an artist i have liked is vital.

when i want to recommend songs from a certain album to a friend without having to relisten to all of them. 

when i want to see what longs ive already liked on a friends playlist, noticing similarities in our taste.

Hey look. Another idea asking to roll back a change that spotify doesn't have a problem with because it's not about the new UI.

 

God, Spotify's hypocrisy knows no bounds apparently. There are like a dozen or more Ideas asking for this new trash home page UI to be removed—all of which were closed because apparently it's a rule that "Requests for complete roll-backs are not allowed." (Examples: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10) And yet they don't seem to have any problem with this idea asking for a feature that was removed to be restored. If that's not a "complete roll-back" I don't know what is.

 

Why don't you just come clean and flat out say that you just aren't going to get rid of the new UI no matter how many people hate it?

Don't worry. All of these Ideas are clearly roll-backs, but they were pushed through to Live Ideas by mods regardless:

Whether or not an Idea you submit ever sees the light of day is completely outside of your control, whether you take care too ensure it's not a roll-back or not. Spotify does what it wants to do. E.g. they've been selectively applying the roll-back rule to every Idea submitted about the new UI for months. As I've said previously:

 

The Idea Exchange is a joke at best and a malicious tool that's used to pacify users by giving them an illusion of control at worst, and either way a pathetic substitute for a proper issue/feature request tracker. Spotify will do what they want.

 

 

Example: an idea was submitted to remove the track limit on playlists. The person submitting the idea specifically stated that the limit should be removed on all playlists, including—but not limited to—what was then called the "Songs" playlist (now called "Liked Songs") within your "Collection" (now your "Library"—this Idea is from 2014 and terminology has changed since). It gained enough votes within the required time frame to be implemented. Then, rather than implementing the actual idea which was submitted and voted for (removing all playlist caps), Spotify "implemented" the idea by removing the Liked Songs cap (playlists are still locked to 10,000 but you can like as many songs as you'd like now), closed the idea, and now demands that if you want the playlist cap removed, you should open another idea and hope it gets enough votes within their narrow time frame again, despite the fact that their users have already voted and clearly stated that they want this.

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, BRING BACK THE LIKED INDICATOR!!!!! I’m literally demotivated opening my Discovery weekly bcs it’s tedious clicking songs and knowking which one I haven’t listened to and liked yet!!! SPOTIFY COMMON!!!!

Yes, please bring it back, I don't use song radio anymore. It was very convenient to see similar songs that I already liked.

I agree: the like indicator is essential to streaming usability, though I would like an updated heart that doesn't function as a 'unlike' button.  Ideally, it would prevent the accidental unliking of tracks.
