Ok, why not give people option, to use old vs new like system as a preference in settings? I know, it would break paradigm of unified behavior for all users and simplified code paths, but in this case it hurts usability, instead of helping users. Also many valid use cases were presentes by your users, which were not addressed in any way. Those are not only users struggling to adapt to a change, but regular users with justified and clearly explained concerns. Obviously your approach to them creates frustration here, which I also share.

Yea come on Spotify we've been waiting for over a year now for you to unbreak the favorites, and I've seen some little steps to make progress, as it is now possible to see if the songs you listen to in others playlists are in some of your playlists, but why oh why did you decide that it should no longer be possible to see which songs we have liked in our own playlists?

All of a sudden it has become impossible to know which songs in a playlist are the favorites, which I would somehow imagine would be one of the points of having a music exploration platform. I've been exploring a lot of new music and for sure I am not memorizing every single song that I like more than the others, but I now have no reasonable way to find them (going to the Liked playlist and scrolling through it to remind myself of which songs I liked the most is not reasonable)

Why can you not just show the playlist icon in the personal playlists like we've been used to for the past eternity that we've been using Spotify

Can you even tell me what the purpose is of even having a way to Like songs if it is just a playlist of every song ever liked no matter which genre? At what moment do you see that people go and put on shuffle and play the songs in the favorites playlist that can span between hundreds of different genres?

And why did you remove all the other Ideas from this forum that was discussing this topic? Is that a statement that you refuse to do it, or what is going on here?

What is with the lack of communication (as far as I'm aware)?

I'm for returning the 💚 in the web player only, while keeping the in the desktop and mobile app. This would give us the benefits of both being able to see tracks we have marked with a 💚 as well as tracks we've added to other playlists

I believe that Spotify doesn't care about what's written here. They just continue doing whatever they want and don't listen to the users.

It makes more sense, to have the heart instead.

Good News - I think they're testing the heart button again by temporarily implementing it for some users.

But it seems like the function of putting the songs on multiple playlists is not integrated. We'll see..

I have submitted a new idea "Can we have both the Green Heart and the Green Tick next to each other". A solution that would make everyone happy and enhance Spotify's functionality even more.

I have submitted a new idea asking if we "Can we have both the Green Heart and The Green Tick..." You'll find it in "New Ideas". We could have both. Then everyone gets the benefit of each.

I am not the first person to say this, I won't be the last and god knows spotify won't care. but on the off chance.why when I add a song to a playlist (this applies to other things too) does, what used to be the add to library button, instead ask if I want to add/remove it from the playlist?

1. I added x song to the playlist for a reason so there is usually not a reason to remove it.

2. I like to throw a playlist of 20-50 songs or so together in about an hourish, usually made up of half songs I know and listen to already, but the other half are songs I just find at that moment and would like in my general rotation outside of the playlist.

so it would be nice if there was a button to say, idk, add to liked songs.

this is a wild suggestion ik but if you took advice that'd be nice.

lyl spotify but god sort it out x

Yes, correct, we have an idea.

Yes, that's right, we have an idea. And it seems that there are many of us with the same idea. And is there any point in expressing our opinion here? Not at all.

Spotify. That music streaming program where you can't see at a glance, and everywhere, the songs you've marked as favorites. What an absolute disaster.
