Bring back track numbers on albums please!

On mobile, albums used to show the song number right to the left of each track. Albums are more than just a list of songs, they’re intentionally sequenced bodies of work that tell a story. Without track numbers, it’s harder to follow that narrative, reference specific songs, or simply enjoy the album the way the artist intended.

Many of us still listen to full albums from start to finish, and removing track numbers makes that experience more confusing and also hurts accessibility for users who rely on clear, structured interfaces to navigate music.

I’d like to suggest an improvement specifically for the Spotify mobile app. It would be very helpful if playlists on mobile could show track numbers (1, 2, 3, etc.) next to each song.

With track numbers on Spotify Mobile:

Users can quickly see the total number of songs in a playlist without scrolling.

It’s easier to search, refer to, or play a song by its order.

This small feature would make playlist management much more practical on mobile devices. Thank You
