Changing Countries, please allow credit card of originating country to still be used

I am moving to a new country and have had my Spotify account for years.  A credit card is currently being charged a reoccuring subscription fee, and the card allows for international charges with no additional fees, but it is based in the originating country.  I was just informed that once I move to the new country, before I am allowed to update the settings to reflect living in the new country, I just cancel the payment with my current credit card, and must re-subscribe to the paid version with a card based in the new country.  This is not a very friendly setup for expats.  I should be able to continue using the original card, even though it's not based in the new country.  I am keeping this card open otherwise.  This is a hassle to *have* to sign up for a new credit card just to have a paid account on Spotify and have the settings reflect the new country I will be living in.

But if they allowed that everyone would change there country to the one with the cheapest price. So i understand why they don't allow this.
