Continue Everynoise

everynoise.com is an invaluable exploration of Spotify genres, and the only place to see complete Friday releases with genre cross-references. Without it, much new music goes unheard.

The Spotify employee, glenn mcdonald, who maintained this was let go in recent round of layoffs.

Everynoise is no longer getting data feeds (beyond basic api) and New Releases may not happen.

Please make everynoise functions supported. I would prioritize New Releases.

The New Releases by Genre tool was quite literally the most helpful tool in finding new music that I have ever used. I cannot tell you how many of my now-favorite artists I was able to find just by looking through weeks and weeks of new releases of borderline-niche categories like "Norwegian pop" or "Ontario indie."

The native playlists are useless to me: I don't want to hear old songs that Spotify thinks I might be interested in based on my listening patterns. I want the ability to view a list of newly-released songs, EPs, and albums by genre and date. That's it!

Let's be sure to recognize the click-thumbnail-for-preview function's importance to the New Releases feature. Without that, usefulness would be greatly reduced. (I can see the overall feature being brought back, or API enhanced, but without that to save resources.)

Everynoise.com was an invaluable catalogue for music discovery. The volume of playlists maintained by Glenn McDonald was truly astounding, and the new music I found through the service was incredible. The Spotify playlists are a great resource to find music similar to what I already like, but the niche everynoise filled was incredible as someone who doesn't consistently follow artists or maintain my own playlists.

Please bring back the experience. It was truly one of the only differentiators between Spotify and it's competitors that was worth evangelizing. Without it, Spotify becomes just another music streaming platform, with the same features and similar problems to all the rest.

How sad. You're killing the best site for discovering music and finding interesting new releases. Every noise at once being integrated with spotify was the biggest reason for choosing spotify over other music services.

Sad.

Everynoise has features that is absurd that Spotify has not, especially considering that Spotify already has everything in-house to do them:

-New Releases done as it should (ALL releases, easily packed and readable)

-Genre categorization (there's none at the moment, music discovery/real trends discovery is just awful)

I understand that company business revolves around shoving music that editors want to down people throats, but actually assisting music fans in their discovery is an helpful feature that targets a specific subgroup (that cannot be penetrated anyway by corporate sponsors) and is a strong differentiator from competitors.

Reviving everynoise/replicating it is a quick, cheap and effective way to retain part of the user base. Hope your product owners are smart enough to get it.

Bring that back please

EveryNoise is the best site for music fans, the only one that gives you tons of ways to discover new genres and artists. Losing her would be very tragic.

I left Spotify immediately after hearing the news about EveryNoise. If you want me to go back to Spotify from Apple Music again, reconsider your actions, please, Spotify higher ups.

Everynoise was an essential tool for me to use Spotify. Without it, I will cancel the subscription and go to a competitor streaming platform. Bye, bye Spotify!
