If i hate a song, then I don't want to hear it ever again. All of us run into this on an hourly basis. Every single day. Why in the world cant we dislike (or thumb down) a song to remove it from existence? Why do you torture us by playing songs we don't want to hear?

There is a "hide" option (only on mobile), and its playlist specific. The desktop version doesn't even have this somewhat-useless feature.

So I vote for a universal dislike button. No playlist limitations. No desktop vs mobile limitations. No buttons hidden in submenus. Just a simple, easily accessible button that can eliminate our headaches once and for all.

I feel you. I make a list. They add songs that I  dislike  What do I dislike? anything I did not put in the last. Does the management understand what the word list means?

I am an avid Spotify user and cannot see myself living without it. There are increasingly new functions that are quite wonderful, such as auto-playing songs that are already known and also to discover. Recently I've come upon a few of these auto-prompted playlists that contain songs I love but also a few in a style I could do without. It would be great to also have a 'dislike' function on a song, so that Spotify does not re-position it in future auto-prompted playlists. Let's face it, we don't love everything out there! Food for thought (and programming haha).

there is a "-" button that show up when spotify is autoplaying music. It doesnt reccomend that song when pressed

We need a like button as we need also a dislike button! Look to YouTube Music! Look to YouTube! Look to other music streaming apps! Spotify is like a very old grandpa - out of time in the 21th century

We need the ability to not only remove podcasts from circulation but also be able limit what podcasts play after our selected ones. I don't want podcasts that I don't choose to listen to. And once you suggest a new one I don't like it's in the circulation no matter what I do. Tastes change over time and sometimes I don't want to listen to them anymore. If our price is going to go up, I want something tangible in return.

I'm a metal head. Nothing wrong with other people's tastes, but how can I delete the following from MY SPOTIFY: Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, Hip Hop and Rap as genre, so that these never ever show up and it's like they don't exist or were deleted forever? Thanks

Yes, this is exactly what we need! And extend it to Podcasts as well. We need to be able to train the system to not suggest content or fill our queues with content that we dislike. Skipping a song, not finishing a podcast, never clicking on the books doesn't seem to work so far, so we need a clearly built in way to do this. And on all platforms, not just mobile. Please Spotify, we need this feature!

A simple button on every song that is seen anytime you click the song on any list to simply stop playing that song forever or a selected amount of time.
