[Desktop] Equalizer for the Desktop Version

There should be an Equalizer for the Desktop version of Spotify.

Since Spotify's mobile apps now have an EQ setting, this should be implemented on the desktop version, too!
The EQ should come with various presets but also the ability to save your own custom settings.

Hey folks,

Thanks for coming to the Spotify Idea Exchange and voting to make this happen.

We're happy to announce that the Equalizer option is now available on desktop - and is gradually rolling out to all users over the next week. You will be able to play around and customize the sound of your music for a better listening experience by toggling your Equalizer on your computers.

Need it, want it, gotta have it!

Make it happen Captain. Not that darn difficult to develop.

Some songs sound terrible when I play from the computer and much better when I play from the mobile app. Please add an equalizer to the desktop app, it's such a basic feature for a music software!

Please add an equalizer for the Desktop, at least for Premium members if anything... Thanks!

Wake up Spotify, are you in dire straits or what ?

I just chatted with support about no equalizer for windows 10,,,Ryan E said not at this time..make a coment in suggestions somewhere. But I see this has been 'dead on arrival' for many years...amazon music doesn't have it either.. What time period is this anyways ? ? Is this the 19th century ?  Maybe should try audacity then to 'my music' folder. The old 'windows media player works better.  C'mon spotify...Get with the program.....

I was able to use DFX Audio Enhancer.  I'm  running Windows 10 home and have both  Spotify free and Spotify Premium.  Really all users should have it, but especially Premium users.  Anyway I had to reinstall Windows and I finally installed DFX, but for reason, this time it's not working.  Maybe an older version or what.  Does anyone have anyone else have any idea on an equalizer for Spotify?  I read that IOS has or is getting an equalizer, which doesn't make sense, since  PC's and laptops are more prevalent than Apple users, so what gives??

This has been going on since 2015, this is BS Spotify!  I'm not a computer programmer, but I can build them, repair them along with being a dual certified CNA. What's the holdup?  I know this should be a very easy thing to do.  I don't know programming, but maybe I'll take it up just to develop an equalizer for Spotify!!!

Weird, I used an older version of DFX Audio Enhancer and it worked, go figure.

With all the rumors about the upcoming HiFi tier, you would think that having an EQ on all desktop apps would be a part of the more immediate roadmap.

I am a subscriber and just installed Boom 2 for Mac and WOW having a good equalizer on my work computer makes a significant improvement.  At the very least, make this a premium feature for subscribers.
