[Desktop] Popout player

I have seen this idea posted several times over the years and they are all marked closed. I personally find it really frustrating that people have clearly been asking for this and over and over been denied, especially because it seems like a rather simple feature. Anyway, on the web player on Chromebook, there is an excellent popout player that remains on top of other tabs and windows you open, has the album/song art and has simple controls like pause, play, skip, and rewind that show when you hover over it. You can also move it around your screen so you position it where is easiest for you. It's crazy to me that this feature hasn't been implemented already for the desktop application, or if it has then the fact that it's been removed. It's super annoying to have to stop what I'm in the middle of to open the Spotify window just to see what is playing, or to skip or save a song. Something with just the basics of these features would make a huge difference and make usability so much easier.

List notifications in a table....let's search them, sort them by date, by artist, by if it's an album or just a single song (wich was an annoying notification), mark them all as read, mark them for deletion etc.

And then implement it before I and others pull the plug on our subscription.

(no third party app in anymore, no lyrics, question is if there will be music left there??? If not I will definetly pull the plug).

Firstly Sorry for my English.

If you are using last version of Spotify and Windows10. When you changed the music or changed the volume, or paused or resumed the music from media buttons. Spotify show you the playing music on(with) Windows 10 Media Controller Pop-Up(http://i.hizliresim.com/LQrXq1.png).

EDIT: When I am saying media buttons, I mean FN Keys, HotKeys, etc.

I found a Spotify Widget app for Windows, then changed it to NowPlaying shower app for Spotify. İf Windows 10 Media Controller Pop-Up already showing when you use media keys, this app will work for you to show Windows 10 Media Controller Pop-Up also after music changed it self.

Hey everyone, while this has been implemented for Windows 10 users, we don't have plans for rolling this out on OSX. We do think it's a good idea so we're keeping the status the same. Please continue to post your feedback and comments here and we'll continue passing it on to the Desktop team. Thanks!

You've added a pop up that displays in the top left corner which shows up ever time you change your volume or song. The pop-up resets its dissapear cooldown everytime you mouse over it. So the entire top left of the screen has to be untouched until that pop up dissapears.

Please remove it or add a disable feature, it paralyses you from using the computer properly.

People are not happy:

Anybody except Windows cant change the time of this pop-up. Every modern media app is showing it on here, like Media Controller that at Control Center of IOS.

But Spotify can turn it off or turn on for their app.

Some people dont want it. And Some people want it. Even I want it when every time the music changed itself.

So they should add an option.

Krodil

please give us an option to disable the looooong toast. It is a massive user experience saboteur!

I love the notification, i would like it to show whenever a new song is played and not only when I pause or skip a song.

Just adding a note of support to see track notifications in macOS! 🙂
