Disability Concession for disabled people

I do notice that there is not enough kudos for this topic.    Are you sure?
I strongly believe that if you have discounts for students - able bodied in most senses- then physical and intellectually disabled people should receive the same concessions.

Monitoring the bona fide of this would not be hard.  The user would need to submit the details of their concession card.

I am writing this on behalf of my intellectually disabled sister who loves her music.  She has limited finances, and any financial discount helps her to access other things.

I just cannot believe in this age, that there is not enough “kudos” for this.   I’m sure the artist who get a token amount of money from Spotify would agree to monetary concessions to disabled people.
Spotify could do a great service to themselves and the community to concede to such an idea.   Don’t forget it is 2021.
Get with the times please

My name is Luvin and I'm living in 2025 with disability and music is my drug of choice but it's hard to afford it cause I'm on a fixed income, please spotify have mercy on people like me and gift us with the opportunity to be able to afford your services,  I myself and many others who have the same issue would be grateful and thankful if you could please give us a little break so that we might be able to enjoy the freedom that music brings us. Please and thank you.

My 5 year old ASD child lives with Spotify. I can't add votes to this so what needs to be done to bring the same opportunity to the vulnerable as university students. Be inclusive Spotify!

I hope this topic is reconsidered and Ive seen many agree but also not go into why this would be VERY good other than just the finances part!
Im mentally disabled and on SSI. I have to liveo n $644 a month, plus my EBT and Medicaid. That leaves almost NOTHING for stuff like spotify. Especially when $10 is such a large amount in the grand scheme of my finances.

But music is not only something massively important but actually HELPS me with a lot of things...
But I can only listen to it on my laptop because I absolutely CANNOT stand not being able to have a song on repeat all day, or even sometimes for weeks straight. My brain will make me all kinds of anxious and out of whack if I force myself to listen to whatever Spotify wants me to, rather than being able to choose my own song order or put one song on repeat.

I could manage more around the $5 range for a subscription just to be able to put a song on repeat but I definitely cannot squeeze in $10 or more...

If anything, I hope Spotify at LEAST one day lets free users put a song on repeat even if its on a phone, and not just on computers. Id very much love to have the aid of music, and the song my brain wants on repeat, to heavily help aid me in getting things done even around my home...

Offrir des tarifs réduits sur les abonnements Spotify premium pour les gens qui sont considérés en tant que handicapé, pour la France par exemple il faut faire une demande à la mdph pour profiter des aides et être considéré comme handicapé.

Walmart offers their plus plan at a very discounted rate for those with lower income. Amazon Prime offers a discount for those who qualify! I quit listening to Spotify last year and only play it on a rare occasion because everything that I want you have to be a premium member to get it. I am on disability raising my granddaughter by myself and it is just not something that I can afford that your prices.

I just added my Kudos to this 🚀
It is disappointing that this request has been active since 2017 without a real solution.

I am currently in direct contact with Spotify’s Escalation Management Team (Case ID: 63c27ff3-722f-4f46-b77c-1ada523861a9) to push for an Accessibility Discount for users with disabilities, similar to the existing Student plan.

To show the decision-makers that this demand is global and urgent, I have started a petition which already has signatures from 5 continents 🌎.
I invite everyone here to sign it so we can present a unified front of 500+ voices:

Music should be accessible to everyone, regardless of their physical, mental or financial situation. Let’s make this happen together! 🎶

With The Upcoming Price Hike Honestly Gonna Cancel An Move To Another Service. It's Already Hard Enough To Pay At The Current Price An Some Of These Other Services Offer These Lower Payment Options For Disability. It's A Shame Spotify. Until Next Time.
